June 23, 200917 yr Don't forget the economics must be there for a trade. The Reds have always been a team who has bought low.
June 23, 200917 yr The Dodgers seem interested in Harang. Matt Kemp's name has been floated but I dont think that would happen. Maybe Blake DeWitt, a nice 2B/3b prospect who played in high school at Sikeston, Mo. PLayed with the Dodgers last year. James McDonald and a couple of other prospects would be a nice return if the Reds are playing for 2010. Huff would require Harang in return. I dont know if the Reds have good enough prospects for DeRosa as the Indians appear to be re-tooling for 2010. My question is, would the Reds consider re-trading for Dunn and what would the Nats take to make the deal?

I would be shocked if the Dodgers delt Kemp but I would run with that trade.
June 23, 200917 yr If the Dodgers offer Kemp for Harang, the Reds would be well-advised to jump on it. Kemp will be a fine player for the next 6-8 years, if not longer. I don't see the offer being made, even though Kemp's name always seems to come up in a potential deal. It makes me wonder if someone in the LA hierarchy isn't as high on Kemp as they should be.
June 23, 200917 yr Dunn had a chance to come back as a FA and said no.Did the Reds make him an offer? I don't recall reading that anywhere.
June 23, 200917 yr Did the Reds make him an offer? I don't recall reading that anywhere. They contacted him about his interest.

Matt Kemp is a stud & I'd be willing to include Harang in a deal to acquire Kemp. Didn't Torre say that he thinks Kemp has the chance to be one of the best ever?
June 23, 200917 yr Remember guys, don't we need to trade for a RH hitter. Dunn and Huff are both LH hitters arn't they?
