mcpapa Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I thought about this when posting the "Mickey D's OJ 911 Call" thread. For me it's Sonic. I'm not sure I've EVER gotten what I ordered. At least it worked out the last time. I placed what I thought was a pretty basic order. A sonic burger, everything except cheese. When I got to the window to pay, it was four dollars and change, which is pretty steep for a burger. Turned out that had prepared some sort of extra-huge behemoth burger. Also turned out that they would rather let me have the fatburger at the regular burger price, rather than make another burger. Which place do you have the most trouble with?
Theoldguy Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I can honestly say most fast food restaurants (drive through windows) get your order served to you incorrectly more times than they do correctly. One of the problems I think is that from a simple burger and fries back in the day, the menus have expanded far too much, to include everything but the kitchen sink, and at some fast food places, I think you could order the kitchen sink. When we do go get fast food, we order inside even when we take it home. For whatever reason, the orders usually turn out to be what we ordered and not something else. The worst? IMO The Wendy's on Patrick Drive in Burlington, Ky.
Hearsay Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 McDonald's in Bardstown. 75% failure rate when the order involves more than 2 people. I've charted it.
mhighfield Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 McDonald's,I don't get cheese on my bugars and they always put it on there,Never fails.
Musketeer_alum97 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 For me, it's a tie between Taco Bell in Russell, and Wendy's in Greenup.
ScarHeel Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Taco Bell in Hazard (Perry County). I always order my soft tacos with no lettuce but it almost never fails they throw that crap on there & I have to take 'em back.
Ram Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 For me, it's a tie between Taco Bell in Russell, and Wendy's in Greenup. I don't think that Wendy's in Greenup has ever got my order right. I have quit going there primarily because of that. They don't even get it right we have dinned in. Terrible management. On a side note: I have basically quit going to fast food restaurants because of the poor food, and because of the poor service. I first quit going to them because of the poor service, now I am glad I did, and am eating healthier.
DragonFire Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Wow, you guys are having truly awful experiences. I generally have zero trouble. If I were to single one out, maybe one of the Wendy's here in Bowling Green, which has gotten my order wrong on occasion. But it's like once or twice out of hundreds of times. One place that has never failed me is Chick-Fil-A. Not once.
oldrambler Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Wendys in Greenup, Ky., McDonalds in Flatwoods,Ky.. No doubt the worst service I have had with this in our area. McDonalds are probably at around 50%......get your order right half of the time and Wendys hits it right around maybe 10-20%, lol.
oldrambler Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 One place that has never failed me is Chick-Fil-A. Not once. :thumb: I have never recieved a wrong order at a Chick-Fil-A.

halfback20 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I rarely have trouble. I don't eat many burgers out though anymore. But when I did, Steak and Shake would mess my order up every time I went through the drive thru.
oldrambler Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 The worst? IMO The Wendy's on Patrick Drive in Burlington, Ky. , and Wendy's in Greenup. I don't think that Wendy's in Greenup has ever got my order right. Wendys in Greenup, Ky. Seems that Wendys definateley has the lead in this category so far!
Royal Uncle Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I have good luck at fast food restaurants. I would say the proper order success rate for me is close to or equal that of sit-down restaurants. When I was in high school, I worked at McD's for 2 years. I learned you have to talk slowly and enunciate clearly, especially in the drive-thru. Also, you must keep in mind the types of people working fast food. Either h.s. or college kids that work around their schedule, or adults that are working in the best job they are capable of working. This isn't 100% accurate, but from my experiences, I would put it in the high 90's.
