Track the Reds (Week 7)

Featured Replies

My two year old cousin can catch a ball thrown at him. Same concept with the pop up. You still didn't answer the question I asked in a previous post. Catching a ball is a skill kids learn in PE they don't learn to bunt.

Anyway....by having this conversation you're implying its okay for a PROFESSIONAL athlete not getting a bunt down. It's part of their job. And its not difficult at all....

I'm not implying anything. I'm just calling you out on your hyperbole.

Now BP is out with a cut thumb?

Now he is trying to steal.

Actually, that's exactly what you implied...whether you're willing to admit it or not. I'm not saying you think it to be true, but it was clearly implied.

If they lose, Homer may not get the loss, but he should.

Nothing to admit. I didn't imply a freakin' thing.

Criticize Bailey all you want for not getting a bunt down, but don't act like it's so easy a caveman can do it.

It was an obvious situation for a bunt....

For whatever reason Dusty didn't think so

Maybe he did not want to take the bat out of Votto's hands, especially with Phillips out of the lineup.

Gotta love Hernandez. He is the ultimate team player. Now playing third, with the Reds in pinch.

That trade was one of the best the Reds have made in a while. Freel for Hernandez that is...

It is easy. It's a simple lack of focus if you can't do it. Once again...i'm guessing you didn't see Cleveland's rookie pitcher put down a picture perfect bunt earlier? It's not like they practiced that a lot, especially since they are an AL team.

Not even talking about when Votto was up...

When were you talking about?

When were you talking about?

Hairston. No one out, man on first. Down one run in the 8th. No better time for a sac bunt.

Then Votto gets a free pass. That is taking the bat out of his hands.

Should have tried to steal, then bunt him to 3rd.

I'd rather have a runner in scoring position. Single's are far more common than extra base hits.
