May 24, 200917 yr So you believe everything you hear? 1. The reds announcers are awful and say false things all the time 2. They said Agon is a gold glover earlier this year. They always say he is gold glove caliber, and he was at one point in his career when he arrived in Cincy. That was a horrible judgement call by an ump, no getting around it. I do agree with you, one call never determines a game. Reason being, too many "one" calls you could point at during a game.
May 24, 200917 yr I like to see the game won and lost by the players, such as Gomes saving a run by his hustle and great throw after backing up the play. For the ump to ruin that based on a "judgment call" irks me. And sorry, I must be the first person ever to use "we" when referring to my favorite team. It's just a pet peeve of mine when people say 'we.' All in good fun :thumb:

May 24, 200917 yr They've called him a Gold Glover on many occasions I've never heard it, and watch about 80% of every inning of every game. I've heard them talk about how good of a defensive player he is, and how he is a gold glove caliber player but never heard them make that mistake. It wouldn't surprise me with these clowns though. He probably should of won one or two gold gloves by now though.

May 24, 200917 yr If there's one thing I've realized this year its that there is such a difference between an American League hitter and a National League hitter. Ramon will give you a quality AB every time up to the plate. Lance Nix is pretty much the same way. Both of those guys grew up in the AL. It's amazing how different the two leagues are. BTW, not saying no one in the NL gives quality AB's its just more common with AL hitters.

Freel is a very good joke. I realize the O's had a prospect they were clearing the path for, but he hasn't got the first AB this year. I am very please with Hernandez.:thumb:

May 24, 200917 yr Once again, Cleveland makes bunting look very simple. Against a major league closer...
May 24, 200917 yr I think what happened there is that the 3rd base ump saw that Hanigan never tagged Sizemore and overruled the home plate umpire somewhow. Reds just got hosed there. Did the catcher actually tag him or not? If he didn't wouldn't it actually have been a bad call if he had been called out? Sounds like maybe 2 bad calls evened out and he was safe as he should have been to begin with.
