April 16, 200917 yr They're reachable for anybody who is going to get 400 at bats, with a few exceptions. Those numbers would also make 2009 one of Gonzalex's best years ever, too. I don't think Janish reaches those numbers with 400 AB's.
April 16, 200917 yr No, no, no, not you LRCW. I'm speaking generally. My (real life) buddies, to whom I've been ripping Gonzalex for weeks / months, say it all the time. Gonzalez is solid in the field, and has made some great plays. I expect him to continue to play well in the field; however, if you can't produce at the plate, you shouldn't be in the lineup. I'm not saying that Janish is a much better alternative. I just can't believe that so many people are sold on Gonzalez. He's the best option the Reds have at SS right now. You have to play your best player at each position.
April 16, 200917 yr These Reds are getting really fun to watch! Man it's scary to think what can happen if a bunch of young guys get some confidence....
April 16, 200917 yr Bruce looks absolutely lost at the plate. Couldn't agree with you more. It's sad how overmatched he looks. I keep saying he's only 21 he's only 21 but it's sad and pitiful. Don't get me wrong I'm not one of those "I could do better" guys or else i'd still be playing but I could look lost like that too... lol
April 16, 200917 yr Bruce looks absolutely lost at the plate. There's a very good chance he stays that way this year. He's still very, very young. I think a lot of Reds fans were figuring on .280 30 90 out of him this season and there's a good chance it'll be more like .250 20 65. He's going to be a great player but he's at the point where he really can't learn any more at AAA but might not be ready to be a consistant hitter at the big league level.

If Dickerson continues to develop I think they have to consider plugging him in LF and moving Hariston to SS if AGons bad doesn't make an appearance soon.
