April 17, 200917 yr Taveras, cf Dickerson, lf Votto, 1b Phillips, 2b Bruce, rf Encarnacion, 3b Hernandez, c Gonzalez, ss Cueto, rhp Really need 7 and 8 to get something going.
April 18, 200917 yr Bases loaded for Gonzo and one out. Hopefully he can come through for the Reds here.
April 18, 200917 yr Bases loaded and one out and the Reds get nothing out of it. The Reds have to hit in guys with the batters 1-6 or they are not going to score. 7-9 is basically guarnteed outs this year expect when Owings picthes. Hopefully those guys prove me wrong though, because if they both can hit around just 250 to 260 for the year. Then I think the reds can have a really good year. The Reds 1-6 hitters while not great, are good enough hitters to do something with the pitching the Reds have this year. They just have to get atleast a little help from the 7 and 8 hitters though.
April 18, 200917 yr Taveras, cf Dickerson, lf Votto, 1b Phillips, 2b Bruce, rf Encarnacion, 3b Hernandez, c Gonzalez, ss Cueto, rhp Ah, now that's a lineup that'll strike fear in the opposing pitcher...
April 18, 200917 yr Ah, now that's a lineup that'll strike fear in the opposing pitcher... And that's the "A" lineup.
April 18, 200917 yr Ah, now that's a lineup that'll strike fear in the opposing pitcher... They have actually given them chances to do something in the game so far. However the one inning they couldn't get a simple sacrafice fly from 7 and 8 hitters when bases were loaded. Then in the first and third they have fun themselves out of innings or having guys in scoring position. Dickerson thrown out stealing. Then Taveras was thrown out going from first to third on a single. So they are being aggesive which I like, just hasn't paid off this game. The 1-6 guys I really like, just after that is when it gets really interesting.
