Those violations were no less than 7 years before I was even born. That's over 33 years. I'd say 33 clean years is more than enough to forgive incidents in his first three years as a coach.

I don't think anyone on here thinks Pitino is a cheater. But, apparently a lot of people think Calapari is and their posts border on suggesting it as known fact when the reality is there is zero evidence to support the claim. One incident at UMass (13 years ago) where he was cleared of any wrongdoing and a bunch of comments about WWW doesn't even qualify as weak.

 

People are cynics. When they see a guy rolling in big recruits consistently they get suspicious. I always found it odd that Billy Donovan could recruit like a madman at Florida. Does that make him a cheater?

So, an assistant isn't a real coach? Hmmm...........doesn't matter if he was a graduate assistant or not, he was on the coaching staff and that fact imo makes him a "real" coach.

 

 

I had questioned some of Cals' past with the NCAA as well (Camby/UMass) but reading all of these different threads/ comments by U.L fans going nuts I must say is flat out hilarious, very entertaining.

I could say (and will) that I found it equally as funny when Pitino was trying to name U.K.'s coach for them , in a presser I heard/saw on espn he said that T. Ford or J. Pelphry would be a perfect fit at U.K.. Why???.....imo bc he knows he can beat them alot easier than an established veteran coach. I about fell out of the chair laughing when I saw his reaction to the Clapari hire when ask....."Uh, I guess you would have to talk to U.K. about that, we have alot going here at U.L.". He looked like he was about to blow up, kinda funny how his "advice" and "compliments" all of a sudden stopped, uh?(Hey Rick.....we could give a flip less what your opinions are.:sssh:)

You think a 22 year old grad assistant bankrolled the airfare??? He may have made the actual arraignments but I assure this was under the direction and payment of the coach. I would also wonder where he got those season tickets he was handing out.

Pitino is a cheater, it's been proven by this thread. I guess UK and UofL should be punished for hiring him. Coach Cal is a saint because he has no NCAA infractions posted by his name. However, he does have a missing final four banner by it. I would've like to of known UK's fans opinion of him this time last week. I bet it was a lot different...

A reporter asked Pitino what he thought about UK's hire, he said he thought Coach Cal would do great. Then, another reporter asked another UK question.
