LRCW Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Throwing stones at Calipair, and stating that he is shady, and a NCAA scandal waiting to happen, let's check the scoreboard. NCAA Violations Rick Pitino- 8 John Calipari- 0 I'm just saying.

98NCCalum Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 How about you list Final Fours taken away under their watch? (I like Cal, but to throw a 0 up there is slightly misleading)
Jim Schue Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 I've always known Pitino was shady, and I dislike him for it. Of course, when I would point out his shady ways back in the '90s, I was naturally roundly dismissed by UK fans who wanted to hear nothing of it. (Surprise, surprise!) I held my nose and took it like a man when he came on board at UofL because I knew that's what the Cards needed at that time. He's a great coach when he can overwhelm you by 20+ points, but God help you if you're in a close game.
Wireman Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 How about you list Final Fours taken away under their watch? (I like Cal, but to throw a 0 up there is slightly misleading) How so? Camby took away the Final Four, not Calipari.
98NCCalum Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 How so? Camby took away the Final Four, not Calipari. Maybe you missed the "under their watch" part?
Wireman Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Maybe you missed the "under their watch" part? Maybe you missed the "NCAA Violations" part?
LRCW Posted April 3, 2009 Author Posted April 3, 2009 How about you list Final Fours taken away under their watch? (I like Cal, but to throw a 0 up there is slightly misleading) Not misleading at all. Calipari has 0 NCAA violations. Look it up.
Original Rookie Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Maybe you missed the "under their watch" part? Cal is suppose to know Camby was talking with an agent? Zero NCAA violations is certainly something to speak of.
Jim Schue Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Yeah, but if your players are taking money, etc. from agents, doesn't that fall under the NCAA heading of "lack of institutional control?"
Wireman Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Not misleading at all. Calipari has 0 NCAA violations. Look it up. That's what I'm saying. LRCW - these are violations that are actually recorded by the NCAA, correct?
bugatti Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Yeah, but if your players are taking money, etc. from agents, doesn't that fall under the NCAA heading of "lack of institutional control?" I would say that is a fair point.
LRCW Posted April 3, 2009 Author Posted April 3, 2009 That's what I'm saying. LRCW - these are violations that are actually recorded by the NCAA, correct? Yep
5wide Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 I've always known Pitino was shady, and I dislike him for it. He's a great coach when he can overwhelm you by 20+ points, but God help you if you're in a close game. :thumb::lol: That's vintage Pitino. His style is such that if it's working and he has the pieces in place, it's hard to keep up.
LRCW Posted April 3, 2009 Author Posted April 3, 2009 Yeah, but if your players are taking money, etc. from agents, doesn't that fall under the NCAA heading of "lack of institutional control?" So I can only assume that you believe that Joe B. Hall was shady too.
