Was one of the best championship games I have seen since I have been going to the state tournament. Congrats to Holmes on winning the title.

Nice Video toward the bottom of this Lexington Herald article. After watching it, that shot that sent the game into it's 2nd OT was closer than I thought. Clock is actually reading 0:00 when the ball leaves his hands.

:lol: Ok. Just watched the special on ICN 6 and thought, wow, Coach has a funky haircut.

It was a very very close call. I haven't seen the video that was posted earlier but I saw on a newscast from the night before and put it in slow motion. When framed it by 10ths of a second I could see the ball was still in his hand a 0.1, but then when you got to 0.0 it looked to be out of his hand. It was so close I don't know if even a ref would have overturned if replay was an option.

 

 

That is absolutely right.

 

It was way too close to call. I was unsure and I was sitting right behind the basket when he made it. The first thing I did was look at the ref and he signaled that the basket was good. That was all that mattered, there is no replay. To tie the game, I'd call it a good basket. It was too close of a play for the human eye to figure out in real time, IMO. Even in slow motion, I know of people still arguing whether it was good or not.

Is it time for the KHSAA to consider using replay equipment? Looked just like the Syracuse-UConn finish to me.

I've asked myself the same question after I watched the recap of the tape. You would think they could review the play-by-play from the camera's from Rupp. We are talking about the Sweet 16 tournament finals here.
