The comment was made that Highlands wasn't going to want to have anything to do with last years Beechwood freshman when they are seniors.:lol::lol::lol:

Govnah...do us Beechwood fans a favor and don't take potshots at the Birds. They are arguably the best program in the state historically and don't need any fodder from Tigers' fans. DM is already ticked that last year's Tigers freshman team took one from the Birds in his own house with him doing all he could to help on the sideline.

 

Bird fans...Govnah is just making some rookie comments so don't paint Tiger fans with that broad brush. Believe me, we are looking at that Highlands matchup with our fingers crossed. The Beechies picked a tough year to put the Birds on the schedule as HHS will have a great team with some of the top talent in the state and the Tigers will be reloading. So take it easy on us.

 

To get back on track though, it is a lot of fun watching the Tiger program turn kids with heart and work ethic into state champion quality football players. The seniors and juniors this coming year were just average as freshmen. But they are not the same players now. The Tigers may struggle early with Dixie and Highlands leading off the season but they will put it all together for another title run as the season marches forward.

I heard today that Cory Crane retired before his Junior year. Anyone know anything about that?

I have not heard of anyone coming from Independence to Beechwood.

Don't be surprised if he returns. I think he is frustrated by injury issues right now. It is 50/50 IMHO so I wouldn't be surprised either way but the Tigers could sure use his help.

What is wrong with Cory Crane?

Educate me and others....why were Highlands and Cov Cath permitted to move up but Beechwood is not?

 

The reason Cov Cath and Highlands were allowed to move up is because they ask to. I know for a fact that Beechwood only stayed in class 1a to win some state titles and with the hope to move up later. When this all went down every team had a chance to move up but Beechwood chose to stay down. :ylsuper::dancingpa
