The proof is that these teams did, in fact, make it to Rupp, and these players are, in fact, transfers.

I really don't mind kids transferring for legitimate reasons. If they happen to be excellent students and wish to transfer to where a better pre-college curriculum is available, so be it. If a student transfers, and happens to be a great athlete, I wish him all the success he may attain. Just remember, twice as many transfers would be playing in the Sweet 16, if a certain 11th Region team had made it to Lexington. To paraphrase the Beatles, "Transfers can't buy me love" when it comes to claiming a state championship. Good luck to the remaining 12 teams, let's watch some great basketball.

Look up the definition of transfer. They fit.

 

Yeah technically they fit the definition of transfer. However you know what the guy meant by it, and how they really shouldn't be considered as transferred students. When people think of transfer they do think of students leaving the schools they grew up at, to go other schools. In this case they ended up back at the school where they had been at all along.

Transferring from one school to another affects so many schools in the state of Kentucky that I would love to see the percentage of teams that have received a transfer onto their team. I bet people would be surprised at the numbers. Life happens. I know we had at least 3 kids that either came to Boyle County this year or at some point in their life and we lost more games than we won. We just aren't a high profile school so nobody cares. I think transferring is overrated. Life happens.

I think that's pretty much what LMB was doing. Just pointing out that several teams in the state tournament featured transfers. Just a fact.

You read what I typed wrong. I was simply saying that from a basketball standpoint it appears they have benefited. I never accused anyone of transferring just for basketball or anything of the sort. It just kind of jumped out at me that so many teams had transfers. I am not criticizing anyone.
