  1. Just like Highlands, Beechwood and CovCath get transfers in football each year. As a Holmes grad, I love seeing their success in basketball. I prefer this to come with homegrown talent, but you can't fault parents who look out for the best interest of their children. I wish Demetrius and his family success, as they join a basketball monster program this coming season.
  2. Holmes is to quick and the reason that they will win this game is because they have a very good bench. When you have 4 players in yesterdays game for Holmes that almost had dbl dbls it going to be hard to match up with. I think that Pittman needed 1 more board to have his. But The fact is Holmes is one of the best teams that i have seen in a long time. I think they have a great shot at comin back to the pound with one. And Im not playing when I say that the will be back next year to. But for now lets worry about tonight. Holmes by 7
  3. I really don't mind kids transferring for legitimate reasons. If they happen to be excellent students and wish to transfer to where a better pre-college curriculum is available, so be it. If a student transfers, and happens to be a great athlete, I wish him all the success he may attain. Just remember, twice as many transfers would be playing in the Sweet 16, if a certain 11th Region team had made it to Lexington. To paraphrase the Beatles, "Transfers can't buy me love" when it comes to claiming a state championship. Good luck to the remaining 12 teams, let's watch some great basketball.
  4. Holmes. They know whats goin on down there. If only Rz. Henderson was still here that would be great. They came up short last year but this year they have what it takes to win. Not saying they didnt have it last year but they are more togather this year as a team and I think they will bring one back. Go Bulldogs.
  5. Holmes 42 CrisCo 38 Once again D wins the game.
  6. Very true he is one of the smoothest players I have seen in a while and the great thing is he will be back next year.
  7. Great game.. congrats to the dawgs. Now lets take one back to the pound.
  8. Holmes-J. Riley kidd plays with heart and he is a lights out shooter he is smart with the ball and has a good eye for people that are open. To bad that he got in foul trbl. against Boone Coach H. had to put him back in at the 4:58 mark in the 4th way to much time on the bench for 2 fouls. Point is the kidd is really good and for 5'10 5'11 the boy has got some hops.
  9. Great game. Holmes played with alot of heart and they got things done. My congrats to Boone on a well played game. But in the end Holmes locked things up on D and Rico's clamp down defense took McFarland out of the game. Well done DAWGS.......
  10. I was just at the Bank of Kentucky center and saw Holmes and Boone Co both play. Put it this way if Holmes can keep Boone from getting inside the paint with Mcfarland and force Boone to go outside with the ball the will win because Boone doesnt really shoot all that well. But I think Pittman will match great against Earls or Mcfarland. But Holmes can turn the d on when ever they want.I think it will be a great game but Holmes is out for BLOOD..Holmes by 8 to much talent. Go DAWGS.
