I heard that because of the buget cuts Harrison was going to cut 2 of his coaches. So that was a big reason he left.

 

If they cut 2 of his coaches but didn't cut 2 from every other sport I would leave too.

I have coached against Aaron, he knows what he is doing. Some of you may want to do you homework, see where Clay was before he arrived.I really don't know how some on here can critisize a coach from leaving. It's NOT YOUR JOB; it's his. Coaches move for all types of reasons. Some family, some money,wanting a level playing field,challenge, lack of support( which could be anything from the adminstration, facilities, having opportunity for quality assistants, unreasonable expectations). People in all walks of life changes jobs for one reason or another. We are no different.

If you can win at Berea you can coach. He will do a fine job.

Here is the thing that I think sometimes gets overlooked in all these debates on message boards. This man has a wife and kids. They have a life to lead outside of the lines and if the community of Frankfort makes that better then the rest of this crap is inmaterial. At the end of the day you are going to have idiots that question everything you do as a coach and then you are going to have supporters to the death of everything you do no matter if you are right or wrong. However, the faster a coach realizes that the betterment of the family is the biggest priority... it is amazing how much better the job that particular coach does because of peace of mind. Peace of mind is 90% of coaching these days because it is such a thankless job and if Coach Stepp has that peace of mind then the rest of the bitterness that gets displayed on these boards is very insignificant. He is a good football coach and Franklin County can help him and his family just like he can help Franklin County. Frankfort is a great football town right now especially with the improvement of Western Hills by Coach Miller and staff. The community has emraced it like it did in the mid 80's and the future for all three schools is very bright. That adds up to a great atmosphere to do what you love and Franklin County happens to be a very good job in terms of talent and tradition so why hate on someone for wanting to be a part of that.

Did Coach Stepp already do Spring ball at Harrison? If so, they may not be in any hurry to hire a coach.....McKee has it made at Scott County, I don't see him leaving.

Found out the past weekend that the AD at Harrison is not retiring from that position. He is only retiring from teaching. Harrison plans on giving AD Lee Kendall a 100 day contract. So that scratches the AD position for McKee.....

If they are giving him a 100 day contract why not give a 100 day contract to Graham or Reitz for that matter? Both have been very sucessful and have wanted the 100 gig. No disrespect meant to the AD but who is really more important? :confused:
