Baseball is big in Harrison Co. and they only have a few good athletes. Players are given frequent hints that they are to participate in summer games or else.... If you were a coach would you want to fight this battle?? However, the new coach will get to break-in a new stadium that is beautiful!!

 

Players at HCHS are not discouraged from playing football. If anything the football practices in the spring interfere with baseball. I'm not sure where you are getting your information.

Could McKee pass up going back home two years in a row?

 

I would think so with the program and benefits of coaching at Scott County and the facilities that they have. I don't think McKee will come back to Harrison County.

Look you need to get over the fact that Aaron would not bow down to your beloved daddy Dudley like you do. He is a fine coach and will do well at Franklin, and things were not what they seemed at Harrison so he made the best move for him and his family and no one can fault the man for doing that. Remember your daddy left for a bit before coming back to Bell. I just wish you would get off his case or come out and tell him face to face what you think I am sure he would endulge that invite, instead of you hiding and blasting him from behind your great screne name.

Talk to few of the parents whose kids he has coached and see if you still hold him in such high regard. This has nothing to do with Coach Hilton.

 

2-8 in the playoffs is not very good even in Grant Co.

1. Coach Stepp asked either the Superintendent or the Principal to not teach in the classroom anymore, because he is the Head Football Coach. They told him "No." I don't blame them. He is a TEACHER first and and COACH second!

2. There is a slight chance that the AD at Harrison Co. could be retiring at the end of the year. That would open up a spot for someone like McKee.

Not teaching can mean different things. Some coaches consider working the detention room not teaching. Or being Dean of Students, not teaching. I am pretty sure he was not saying, pay me my teachers salary and i will show up after school and on Friday nights. Plenty of teachers work as teachers, but don't actually TEACH student daily.

I totally see what you are saying. I have no idea what Stepp's degree is in and what class(es) he taught in the past. Just passing on what I have heard.

What are some of the things that would make a coach like the Harrison County Job? What kind of talent do they have coming? What do the new facilities have?

I am sure a lot of people can say bads things about coaches that maybe they did not like or had a problem with personally. But hey you know all and like I said you stay loyal to Dudley that is fine, you can make it your personal glory to get on a public forum and blast coach Stepp behind a false name, that is fine. You know who I am and I have no problem stating coach Stepp is a great coach and will do a great job at Franklin, if you can't let it lie then keep on blasting pal. You can joke and make your comments all you want about Grant County, but my kids do fine and work their tails off for me no matter their record, so you want to take out your frustrations on me now go right ahead but because unlike you I am a bigger man and can handle it. That is exactly the reason that Stepp resigned. Only having 15-20 players participating in spring football and 10-12 are lineman and not having a devoted quarterback that put football first is another reason. It's hard to run the spread offense without practicing routes etc.. during off season.

He resigned because only 15-20 players were out for spring ball? I guess if that was the case, a lot of coaches would be resigning every year. 10-12 linemen is probably more than a lot of teams have. I hope this is not the case for him leaving, due to how spring ball was going.

For the new Coach. Harrison Co. has alot of talent coming back.
