I realize most of the questions are not coming from Holmes fans. That being said, at this point of the season winning is all that matters. Barring a major blowup or attitude that could upset team chemistry, there is nothing to rehash for the winners except move forward.

Great game defensively. BC had more than one opportunity to score in the last 30 seconds to take the lead and couldn't convert. The killer was the uncontested layup when they were down 1 point with 11.9 remaining. I felt bad for #24 who missed it. Can't put all the blame on him though as there were 2 or 3 other shots that were missed before that, as Holmes could not grab a defensive board. Good win for the Dawgs.

Andrew Brown is on any team I have in any sport.

Agreed. He gave Pittman all kinds of fits in the 1st half...

Absolutely. Big offense may win headlines but big defense wins championships.

Let's see now. Your boys scored 61 and still lost by 22. I believe I'll take 32-29, win, and move on and I'll bet you would, too.

I'll buy Rico as a D1 player. I'm not buying Pittman as a D1 player yet. He can't score inside unless a 6'0 forward is on him and he can't create outside. His saving grace is being long-armed.

Rico is smooth.

You obviously didn't see him against SC then when he dominated both Phares and Euton...to say he can't score inside unless a 6'0 guard is on him is ridiculous considering the players he's went up against this year and the success he's had.

To be fair, "uncontested" might be a bit much. With that, Andrew Brown will surely tell you he has to make that shot.

Congrats to the Bulldogs, an amazing hard fought defensive game! I was there to see it first hand and it was the most exciting game I've seen that combined for just 61 points.

Wasn't Pittman the leading scorer in the first half between both teams? I really don't remember whether it was he or Rico...pretty sure he had 8 at the half though..

He has no position right now at a high D1 school. He can't put the ball on the floor and penetrate against D1 defenders and he can't score in the post against D1 defenders. His #1 asset is his ability to shoot the 3 from the corner. Sound familiar?

Good win Holmes just have to pickup the game more, I like what Henley is doing but Holmes team have too much talent to play a set play passing around ball. Its not fun to watch when they just give up for a outside shot and don't make it. This team can score on more driving to the basket , they all can do that. I mean they are that fast.

Sounded like BC had more than a few shots to take the lead but couldn't convert. Congrats to the Bulldogs, bring home the title, the 9th needs another.

Boone had a chance to take a 1 point lead with 11 seconds, but they missed a wide open layup under the basket. Good defense by both teams. Holmes played better and outrebounded Boone by a lot. Boone didn't get a lot of shots. They kept looking to pound the ball inside and passed up open shots from the outside. GL to Holmes.

I'm sure we will see a different Holmes team during the state since they won't be playing any more 9th region teams and teams like Lex. Cath. and Elliott won't allow the pace to be this slow. I'm also pretty sure that Holmes will be just fine with that style of play too though. They are fun to watch when playing against other athletic teams with all the talent they have, but it had to be boring watcing that regional tourney.

You're completely discounting BC's defense.
