Granny was great. I liked Uncle Jed's "understated-ness", but Granny thinking that the kangaroo was a giant rabbit and that the ostrich was a giant chicken was priceless.

Ellie shore did look good swinning in that thar Cement Pond with all her critters.:thumb:

Also the episode where they had a hippo out back by the "cement pond" and she thought it was a hog and had painted the cuts of meat on it's side.:laugh:

 

Also enjoyed the one where Granny was going to show the Hippies how to smoke crawdads.

Beverly Hillbillies was my pick but really loved Green Acres alot too.

The Beverly Hillbillies, followed by Green Acres.

The Beverly Hillbillies is the granddaddy of them all. The other two are spinoffs of that show. The Hillbillies ruled TV in the early 1960's. The ratings were huge. I vote the Hillbillies #1, but I'm a big fan of the other two as well.

The cement pond, cipherin', possum grits, vittles, wellll doggie, sophisticated international playboy, critters... The Beverly Hillbillies added considerably to my lexicon back in the day.

 

And Elly May was quite the attraction for a young impressionable lad.

 

 

Granny: Elly May done popped the buttons off her shirt again.

Jed: Elly May carries herself proud with her shoulders throwed back.

Granny: It ain't her shoulders that have been poppin' these buttons.

The Hillbillies...no contest!! The Hillbillies was one the all time great sit-coms along with Andy Griffith, Seinfeld, All in the Family, MASH, Sanford and Son, and Everybody Loves Raymond!

All 3. Uncle Joe on Junction reminds me of a uncle I had, same kinda of hat, suspenders and all. Beverly Hillbillies for Ellie May. Green Acres for the story lines.

Tough call, loved all three, but I'm going with Billy Jo, Bobbi Jo and Betty Jo over Elllie Mae and Arnold.
