March 6, 200917 yr :thumb::thumb: From an article that I read it seemed that Jasper wanted to redshirt last season and was not allowed. He wanted to let his knee heal and did not think that it was going to get a chance here. :thumb: I heard the same thing lbbc....along with the lets say "other rumor" on what happened with him and BCG.

March 6, 200917 yr Your post is a bit misleading. Yes, Patterson said he didn't want to playing the NIT early in the interview, but he also said later in the interview that while he wants to play in the NCAA that if it came down to it that playing in the NIT would mean playing more games, and that he would want to do that. :thumb: His post is more than a bit misleading. Here is the quote... “I would rather play in the NIT than not play at all,” Patterson said. “But we all hope to be in the NCAA. That’s what we came here for. I wouldn’t say I would never want to play in the NIT because that would mean more games. But the NIT is not what you want.” Apparently PP had more than one quote: http://www.kentucky.com/818/story/715496.html Glad to see he's thinking like I am on this one.

March 6, 200917 yr As I said, he was saying different things. I thought you were saying he was thinking like you on the topic, not just on that particular quote. My bad.
March 6, 200917 yr If Jasper was playing 100% healthy with this team they'd be in much better shape. That being said, I expected a lot more from Liggins and he just isn't performing. That's me, I thought Liggins and Gallaway would sort of pick up the slack from Jasper, but neither of those have been able to get anything rolling. Vilarino will be a freshmen next season, and I don't expect him to contribute much at first, but then again, I know absolutley nothing about him. We probably won't be in much better shape next year, but the year after that, hopefully things will start turning around.

I hoped that as well, but it is hard to replace the experience of having been in that situation, and Jasper had that advantage. Plus, he played with more control than most frosh PGs. I really hate that we lost him. I think he would have made a HUGE difference this season.
March 6, 200917 yr So what happened at the press conference? Billy Clyde admitted is what all his fault because the kids on the team don't listen to anything says and they just aren't very good basketball players. Then he said he would be buying drinks at his place after the press conference.:lol::lol::lol:

March 6, 200917 yr Heard a rumor last night that BCG, Todd, and Barnhart were in a closed door meeting for most of the day yesterday. Like I said its just a rumor, probably nothing to it.
March 6, 200917 yr How many top programs still do not have a game rotation going into the last game of the season. One game it is Miller, the next Galloway, the next Liggins, the next etc. and etc. I guess one thing is for sure. The other team has trouble preparing because they do not know who will be playing for KY.
