Deron Linton must have contributed nicely.

A crying shame. I feel awful as I am sure many Flyer fans are, but the fellows had a great season, and I hate to see it end. These are a great group of guys, they just couldn't get it going tonight.

Lafayette made big shots when they needed. Hats off to them. I don't think the two blow-outs in districts helped Franklin County at all. Franklin County held the lead almost the entire game, but could never pull away. Meyer and Hicks were in foul trouble early and the offense couldn't get any rythm to it. The offense became -spread the floor, a lot of one on one, and four guys standing around and not in position to rebound. Franklin County missed some key free throws with the lead in the last couple of minutes that hurt as well.

Doesn't Barrett Meyers play for Franklin County? How did he do?

 

Barrett played very well, but was in foul trouble as was Deron Hicks and had to sit out a lot.

I know your being sarcastic but I agree. If only Henry Clay could beat Lex. Cath. tomorrow now, that would be great, and if it's not too much to ask, let Holmes lose to Boone County again.:thumb:

Just returned from the game and still am shocked. I thought about the best way to post my feelings and I am going to leave some things out so I do not offend anyone but here goes.

 

First off I want to say I am very proud of our boys they never gave up and played their hardest. To the seniors thank you for the great basketball the last two years its been great. Barrett Meyer you are what FC basketball is all about, Andy Donovan great career I wish you the best at the next level, Deron Hicks thank you for always playing your hardest and battling in the paint, and Ryan Conner you are a beast son good luck during baseball drop some bombs this year.

 

Now, I dont know how many people on here are from Frankfort but I am. When I was little all I wanted to do was play ball at FCHS for Coach Gary Moore, and when I got in high school I did, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. When you grow up on the east side of Frankfort and you play basketball FC basketball is your life. I think somewhere people forgot about that. Its time for people to take pride in the program and want to win, and play to win instead of not to lose. I know the boys gave it their all and wanted to win after that I have nothing else to say about playing to win instead of not to lose. I love FC basketball it means something to me to say yeah I played at FC I am proud to be a Flyer. Right now I am really upset but not at the kids, not at all the kids were great all year.

 

Congrats to Lafayette, good luck the rest of the way.

Hate to see this happen. Was hoping FC could make a run to win the 11th. You had a suportor here in Clark Co.

Wow. Very big upset. Franklin Co had a great season.

I consider myself to be a fairly decent supporter of 10th region basketball. But this is another example of the depth in the 11th, for sure.

 

Congrats to the Generals, and also to the Flyers on a fine season.

I really feel bad for those boys from Franklin Co. They always play hard and compete. But at the same time what a great win for Lafayette. Especially to see Linton get to play after thinking his high school career was over with. It was a very entertaining game, but my heart goes out to those Franklin Co. players. I know its a hard pill to swallow.

What people sometimes forget is that other teams practice. Other coaches work hard at game playing and working to get their kids to preform at a high level.

Thanks for the condolensces from all of our friends on here. Best of luck to those of you still playing! Good news is the sun came up (although behind a few clouds) this morning. IMO, this really hurts the seniors that only play basketball the most. They are going to have to chew on this for a long time.
