Granted everyone wants to win all of the time, but you can't blame the coach for everything. Jason is a good guy and has bettered himself as a coach since leaving PCC. Just because they don't win the games they should have don't make things a total lost cause, but being able to put themselves in a position to compete is a huge improvement and in some cases a win. Moral wins don't keep coaches jobs and coaches like challenges and therefore Campbellsville may be what Jason needs at this time in his life.

He won 13 games in three years...the program is not in better shape. And Campbellsville is hardly greener pastures. What makes a coach go from a 5A school to a 1A school? Makes you wonder...

It is a very nice area to live in as well.

Coaching is not like it was 25 years ago when coaches stay somewhere for 30 years. For one thing parents have become so overbearing (if that is how you spell it) that coaches can only stand being somewhere for just a few years. There are exception! How can anybody fault a coach for taking a better job that can be anything (pay, town, county, class work load, people, ADMINISTRATION, location, the basketball coach) there are all kinds of things that the common person doesnt look for. Let me put it this way if any of you can GET A JOB, you first have to be able to get it, that pays better or is a better deal for you tell me you would not take it. If you say no you are either a liar or a fool!! So don't be saying a coach should do things that everybody else is not doing. Hey if that coach has 3 losing season do you think they would fire him, if so what is the difference in him leaving on his own terms.

From some of the talk it sounds as if the "writing was on the wall" for Jason. He may have not had much of a choice in getting out?

$6,700 from their website. It bumps $1,000 every 5 years. Currently, it's a 26% pay cut.

The teaching salary for Campbellsville independent schools is pretty good though.

It pays a shade less than $2,000 per year compared to Laurel County. I guess thats not too bad.
