Pretty good pay. Man that makes me appreciate the asst. coaches they have at Bell Co. They pay those guys like it is still in the stone age, their administration is really slacking when it comes to pay.

Anyone heard any names on this position yet? I have heard one, but not sure on any others. I think whomever gets this job has some awfully good talent coming up in the next few years.

Does this pay scale include all major sports or just football? 4000plus for asst. is great, how many do they have? 9000 for the head coach is not bad either.

That's just the major revenue generating sports, football & basketball (as I understand it).

They only have 6 coaches I think maybe 7 counting the head coach. That is Freshman, and Varsity combined. Laurel Co. does not allow any volunteers to help with sports after the basketball incident at North Laurel. Money aside the fact remains most schools in almost every state depend heavily on volunteer help. This hurts middle school, and high school programs alike.

Did the coach that left Estill Co. get another job? If not, he would be a good option for South Laurel maybe bring some of that tough hard nosed ground game to South and put the air attack on hold.

Not that I am aware of.

I think he may have had some issues that could permit him from coaching again in the near future...

That was a policy that was actually not targeted at just the incident at NL. I can PM why that policy was put into place as it is not proper to post on this forum, but it did not involve the incident at NL.

 

However, both football programs now have some unpaid volunteer assistants. In other cases, they divided the pay between volunteers so that they became paid coaches. There were always loopholes in the system.
