Great comeback by the Mustangs--They go 14 of 14 from the line in the last two+ minutes to get back into and then close out the game, including 8 of 8 by Armstrong to finish the game!! Who played really well SM?

Agreed! It hurt Campbell Co more than Brossart though, with Nerls sitting most of the third and first of the fourth as he picked up two quick fouls to start the second half, giving him 4 fouls, and a few others in foul trouble as well.

 

Jolly played a very good game from the start, scoring 9 of the Camels first 11, finishing with I believe 19.

Congrats to Brossart and best wishes to Campbell seniors. Hard to beat a decent team 3 times in one season.

What happened to Campbell did they peak to early. I saw them around Christmas and they looked pretty good.

Congrats to BBHS. I figured it would be a close game and it sounds like it was. Best wishes to BBHS in the finals and regionals. Best wishes to the CCHS seniors, tough way to go out after a great year.

I love this Brossart team. They aren't the most athletic or tallest team, but they play with 110% percent and the most heart that I have seen this year. I wish every team could play the way they do.

Jolly was lights out for Campbell with 20+, as the Mustangs held the Camel seniors mostly in check--Albrecht 9, Nerl 1 and Franzen 2 I think I heard? Rieger another fine one for BB with high teens as I recall. Brossart finishes the last two+ minutes with Kramer 2-2, Patterson 4-4 (then fouled out) and then Armstrong 8-8 from the line to seal the deal!! Campbell underclassmen played well throughout.

 

Camels' game plan looked to stop Webb with a tall defender and worked pretty well as he seldom got a clean look from 3. Typical defensive battle between the two (at least since S. Code's arrival at Campbell) turned this into a game of small runs, and BB had the last one. Both teams struggled with foul trouble the whole game with the touch fouls called out top, and Nerl got in trouble when called upon to guard Rieger and his spin moves. Kramer and Rieger held their own on the boards against the bigger Camels, although Albrecht had a good rebounding game. I'm sure Mustang will have a better synopsis and some real stats when he comes back to earth later tonight!! Monster win for this Mustang team, after two defeats at the hands of the Camels this year!!

Both had great games for the Camels--Smith hit a monster 3 while well covered to cut the Mustang lead to 3 late in the game. Very good effort by both!!

I still consider Brossart, Campbell County, Scott and a few others to be in the 9th region. They deserve to play at "home" in the BOK arena. Who wants to drive to Mason to watch a local team play????:idunno:
