Bishop Brossart 53 Campbell County 46

Featured Replies

McGovney will only be a freshman, he might play JV, but i doubt he will be a big contributor for varsity his freshman year. He will be a stud when he does start playing varsity.

Campbell will have more seniors next year: Jolly, Smith, Geiman, Neises, and Wolf. They have some very talented underclassmen as well. Jolly and Smith will lead the way and IMO those two are top in the district. I wouldn't exactly put Brossart ahead of Campbell next year.

I would. Not heads and shoulder, CCHS could definitely end up being better, but with Rieger and Armstrong back, I think Brossart has an edge.

I would not say all alone. Cory Barth has been playing well with the 8th grade team. There are a couple others in the class of 2013 and 2014 that will help out McGovney also.

The Camel cupboard is not bare. :thumb:

Camel cupboard is FAR from bare, the Mustang's cupboard is just a little more full...:p

But enough about next year, the Mustangs still got this year to worry about... Hopefully they can keep the momentum and pull out a win against Scott...

Great win for Brossart. These two teams play similar styles of basketball. I was not able to watch the game, but my guess is that it was a very physical game. Good luck to Brossart.

Do you think Scott HS might have a little say in what goes on on the district next year? Rieger from Brossart is the top returning player in the district next year. Jolly is a very good player but Rieger is better at this time. Smith won't even be the top PG in the district next year much less one of the top 2 players in the district.

He won't be the second best either...

Everything that is being debated here is sheer speculation.

If anything the two programs are fairly equal at this juncture. The Mustangs did certainly progress throughout the season and caught the Camels.

I'm sure that not knowing what the outcome would have been, we are happy that last night's event was a one game playoff, and not a best-of-seven series.

What tomorrow brings for both programs is yet to be seen. It will be fun to see how it plays out.

First of all, only this year is relevant. And I'd say Brossart is definitely once again back on top of CCHS once again...I'd say Brossart has now had a more successful season this year. Would you disagree?

One win in the last 4 meetings puts them on top? with Campbell winning 2 of those by 18 and 21? With such a strong schedule how couldn't they be successful? With losses coming from the hoops powerhouses of Augusta and Deming that really shows how fantastic BB is.

They played 5 good teams all season,

Campbell beat them 2 of 3,

Scott played D- ball that night and still pulled it out,

And Highlands which I couldn't explain (they must have prayed twice before that game)

Mason beat them,

NewCath also beat them

The Power houses they played are highlighted.

Quite a strong Schedule? Almost as pathetic as their football schedules have been.

He won't be the second best either...

Let me guess.... Armstrong will best the best PG in the district right? That's a tough one to call. Nothing annoys me more than a bias fan that cant admit that anyone is better than his team. Jordan Smith has more talent in his big toe than Armstrong has in his body.

I'm willing to put my right leg that says none of those 3 will be in uniform next year. Smith, Jolly, Griffin and Mcgovney will be the only bright points. They will have 0 size which will hurt them immensely. Smith and Jolly could turn out to be one of the best duos in the region next season talent wise but I'm not sure if that will equate to wins. They have a few soon to be juniors that have some promise but under the helm of Code who knows. Those being Cox and Losey.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dancingpa

Hope CCHS enjoyed their one year reign, very upset I couldn't be there... So proud of you guys... Anyone got details?

And Coach Mike Code...:notworthy:

THE reason they won. Here is a comparison for you. If coaching was like making fried chicken Mike Code would be colonel Sanders and Scott Code would be the guy cleaning the bathroom of the KFC. If I had to take any coach for a school opening tomorrow it would be Mike Code. (hey striker, thats how you give credit to another team :D)

Even taking J-Strong out of the equation, have you seen Kellen Smith play?

And you're dead wrong, but agree to disagree...

I watched Jordan Smith almost give the game to Brossart at the Fieldhouse by having 8 turnovers.... But think what you will.

Scott and Brossart is what matters now, Campbell's irrelevant.

I don't understand why schedules are being thrown out there? How is it relevant? Who do you think is more satisfied with their season? CCHS or Brossart?

Brossart made the tournament beating CCHS. End of discussion. Maybe if they got beat by 60 against Scott County, their schedule might look a little better...
