Theoldguy
As I posted in the update thread: Congrats to Beechwood and good luck to them against Holmes. Strangest season in my long memory for CovCath as they had far to much sickness and too many injuries to deal with. I just wonder what could have been..... but it just wasn't in the cards.... Shutitdown
I'm guessing somebody will have a very short run on BGP.
Beechwoodfan
Thank you VOR for posting the link to the game. Congrats to the Tigers! Seniors, you have worked hard for years to become the team you are today. Great win! :ylsuper: :dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa
punttheball
Come on. Sometimes good athletes work their tails off and it just does not pan out. If you make the varsity BB team at Cov Cath then I would say that you are a good athlete. Sorry that these athletes did not live up to your lofty expectations.:irked: BTW, congats to the Tigers. They battled back from at least a 9 point deficit.
Theoldguy
Sorry Beechwood fans, and I am indeed embarrassed that one of our own (or at least he claims to be) is taking away from your victory tonight. Again congrats and good luck against Holmes on Friday night.

Clyde
BW is simply the better team . They play 6 guys that all know their roles and perform them perfectly and that includes the young Hall kid who had CLUTCH baskets tonight. In 20 years when they start talking of the great names in BW history "Buettel" will be near the top. I'm not sure if he had any of shots hit the rim and when they were down 9 in the 3rd he put up 9 points on 3 shots (one where he was fouled - BACKBREAKER). The kid is a straight shooter! Add in the two key deflections he got on missed BW FTs late and you've got yourself a clutch player.
Voice of Reason
Hey, CCH fans should be proud of the effort tonight. They had a 21-4 team on the ropes, leading by 9 points with about 3 minutes to go in the third quarter. CCH had a lot of misfortune this year and their guys battled hard. No shame in losing to this Beechwood team. They may go down as the best Beechwood team ever.
Blue Magic
Great shooting by the Tigers. The missed layup by Maschinot and the foul on Luke (questionable call) were the daggers for CovCath. It was just not meant to be. Good free throw shooting by Beechwood at the end too.
Clyde
Here's the positive you take away tonight if you're a CCH fan. Wellbrock played like a man. That kid should dominate with the combo of strength and hops. Hopefully he realizes no one is strong enough inside to guard him.
Beechwoodfan
They played so well as a team that I hesitate to single out anyone, but Trey seemed to dominate the second half. Does anyone have the breakdown of how many points each player made?
gametime
Great, well played game by both teams. Buettel used an early drive and then the 3 FTs to get things rolling in the 2nd half and didn't look back. The step back with Ives in his face was nasty. It was LOUD in there and my throat hurts...

gametime
How many did #3 end up with? Somewhere between 26 and 30. I have the sheet downstairs, and I'll double check in a few...
