gametime Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Let's try it again. Did you guys know Meeks makes violent cuts??? :idunno:
Son of Bear Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Back to the things that really matter....like UK sucks and isn't making the NCAA tourney, BCG has to go, Pat and Meeks are as good as gone, and the rest of the team is a bunch of bums. :sssh::popcorn::jump:
ladiesbballcoach Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Patterson is not ready for NBA. Meeks could be gone.

SEMPERFIFALCON Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Wow, the last thread ended off topic, this one appears to have started off topic...
TonyDanza Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Wow, the last thread ended off topic, this one appears to have started off topic... :lol::lol: How about I didn't know UK lost until just now.
woodsrider Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Let's try it again. Did you guys know Meeks makes violent cuts??? :idunno: I also learned that in order to beat Kentucky you need to the ball below the foul line extended.
iceking Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Another loss to a team that is not going to be in the tournament. That has to stop if you want to make the tournament.
corndog23 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 It's because Vandy got the ball into the free-throw-line-extended...
gametime Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 If Meeks made violent cuts as hard as Ray Lewis he'd be POY... Never gets old...
swamp thang Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I don't understand why any UK fan would want this team in the NCAA tourney. This team has been an embarrassment the entire and does not have a single quality win on which to hang their hat. The coach is way over his head and with exception of only two players, there is not a quality player on the roster (unless their ability is being thwarted by the coaching staff and we haven't seen what they can really do). I do not, under any circumstances want to have this team represent UK in the tourney only to garner a 1st round loss. IMO the object of getting into the tourney should be to win a championship. Does anyone really think this team has a chance of doing that?

Does anyone really think this team has a chance of doing that? I wish "fans" like you would find another team to cheer for. You insinuate that the team has to meet your specifications to go to the NCAA. One thing that sticks out in my mind was at half time Bilas talking about how hard UK plays. They aren't real good at basketball right now, but they give pretty good effort for the entire game. This says a lot about coaching, because "bad" teams don't play hard imo. We have a lot of learning and improving to do, but this team is about where they should be imo. They were picked pre season 3-4 in the east. They have shown some signs of really good play, and they have struggled. This is what happens to young teams that have very little talent in the top two classes.
Big Game Player Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 This is probably the most negative thread I have ever read, especially about UK. I learned its harder to actually coach than to sit and type what should be done. I know BCG hasn't won some of the games that I think he should of won. Its only his 2nd year and I am not judging him when he is coaching a team that he has to start a player such as Ramon Harris(untill he got hurt) and Perry Stevenson. He recruited Patterson and got him hear and he is tough. BCG didn't recruit Meeks but has turned him into a future NBA type player. Now Galloway and an occasional Miller show up and show what they can do. Fact is, if Patterson is healthy then we win the Vandy game, we are on track to get into the tournament, we end the season on a 4-2 or 5-1 run and this thread ends on Part 1. My suggestion is calm down and see what the recruits he get for next year, which is just his 3rd year, can do. If they don't turn out then we can put BCG on the hot spot and see welcome Pelfry home.
