Do you think Pete should be put on the ballot after all of the garbage surrounding major league baseball? :idunno:

100% yes.

Asolutely--Pete Rose may have cheated the government (which he paid the price), however, he never cheated the game of baseball like Bonds, McGuire, A-Rod, etc.

Absolutely, he should get the chance, his penalty should be reduced, and he should get in, one of the greatest to play, they don't play like he played, players now won't play with a hang nail.

Bull ... he broke one of baseball's most sacred rules.

I've always said that there should be a "Rose exhibit", for lack of a better term, in Cooperstown. Bats and other memorabilia. The all-time hit king deserves that.

Along with a giant display describing why the man himself is not enshrined.

What makes it so sacred?
At the time that Rose was violating baseball's rules on gambling on a regular basis, they had been posted in every clubhouse for 60-plus years.

I realize that people think steroids is an attack on the integrity of the game, but it's a bunch of players trying to get an edge, just like the guys that took greenies in the 1960s and the guys that were corking bats and scuffing baseballs.

Pete Rose absolutely belongs on the H.O.F. Ballot. Yes, the man cheated and lied about it but imo he has now paid the price. Gambling, although very wrong..did not get him one more base hit, did not improve his strength, etc.. As big of a jerk that Pete Rose is one cannot get past the fact that he has more base hits than anyone to ever play this great game, also had that amazing hitting streak and countless other qualifications. Pete Rose played the game of baseball on the field as it should be played...all out 100% hustle on every play and at every at bat.

So, imo if they an to put an "asterick" or some kind of statement on his plague/display then so be it but Pete Rose belongs in the H.O.F..

Like I said, Rose did wrong, no doubt about that fact, Rose is a class A jek, no doubt about that either but there are quite a few of those in the hall. Rose has imo paid the price and now deserves to be in the H.O.F..

Here is a link to Pete's Carrer Stats, the one thing that no one can deny................

Absolutely not! The man is a lowlife loser, who only admitted to betting on baseball to sell a book. He broke a rule that had been in place for a long time, and needs to pay the price. If guys that do steroids aren't allowed in, neither should this loser. The fact that so many people in Cincinnati are such big fans of Rose is an embarrassment to the city.

I thought we put players in the Hall of Fame for what they did as a ball player, not as a manager. Pete Rose did not bet on baseball while he played the game.
