ScarHeel Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/getback/85898/the-cheesiest-love-songs-ever/ Brian Adams, Stevie Wonder and Lionel Riichie among others to make the list... What say you?
mcpapa Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Feelings, Morris Albert. The feeling I usually got was nausea. Sometimes When We Touch, Dan Hill. The honesty's too much, as is the sappiness. UGH. Honey, Bobby Goldsboro Babe and Lady, Styx Virtually anything by Air Supply Virtually anything by Michael Bolton
Hatz Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 "You Light Up My Life" by Debbie Boone. Enough said. :puke:
mcpapa Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 "You Light Up My Life" by Debbie Boone. Enough said. :puke: Good catch.
mcpapa Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 "Muskrat Love" by Captain and Tenielle The version by America didn't exactly distinguish itself either. Speaking of The C and T, maybe "Love Will Keep Us Together" deserves a spot in this pantheon.
Beechwoodfan Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 "Muskrat Love" by Captain and Tenielle That is the first song I thought of. I actually liked some of the songs on the cheesy list.

All of these are classic puke inducers, but my all-time number 1 pick is "Mandy" by Barry Manilow.:ylsuper:

Hangman Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 "I Honestly Love You" by Olivia Newton-John...
JPP Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Thats the way love goes by Merle Haggard. He knows it must be love because his horse shoe pitching is off!
cooperstown Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 "Truly" and "Hello" by Lionel Ritchie are truly despicable songs.
HHSDad Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 "You Light Up My Life" by Debbie Boone. Enough said. :puke: I'll take exception to that. I thought the song was very good. I also like Chris de Burgh's The Lady in Red. Wind Beneath My Wings that the article mentioned isn't a love song. It's a song about friends. I always thought that Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight was cheesy. So was David Soul's Don't Give Up On Us Baby.
