Its amazing how much mud gets slung and hits the fan when a team starts losing regardless of whether it is lack of talent or coaching decisions.

I sent the below letter to Principal Rowe (the same one I posted on BGP's) and it had nothing to be with W's or L's.

Good guy.. just not a solid coach. And despite what others say about the park hills mafia, this was an ousting by the parents and the alumni. So call them the mafia or a concerned group of parents, either way they had a hand in it. It started mostly with the class of 08 parents, because there isnt a class more unhappy with their senior year than the first class Brossart got his hands on.

The wins and losses probably have a little bit to do with his termination as the coach at CCH.

Better question is would Mike Woolf be interested in the job?

There is a separate thread for who you think the next coach will be.

That's not what the 50 + players at lifting think.

 

Their very upset. They don't want to start over again. They have bought into the program, and wanted Coach B there. They wanted to fight back and bring CovCath back to is prominence. Now they are just a "transition Class" for the next coach.

 

This is not a plus for the kids in the program. They all have to start over, just as they did 2 years ago.

 

As a parent of a player, very few inside the program especially the Senior's to be are happy with this decision.

I don't know where you're getting your information from but it's just not accurate. Take it from me as a former player who played under Brossart two years ago, X's and O's asside Brossart is not right for CovCath. I think he's a great O line coach, he just didn't handle the role of head coach very well.

 

lol, I'm positive you would have changed your tune had it been your son or family member who was a senior the past two years and played under him. All of the graduated and graduating players that I know of [which is just about all of them, and those I dont know, are close with my family member] wanted him gone as well. This IS the best thing for the kids, and it's probably better that you don't have to find this out through experience.

 

The kids are probably upset because they don't want change. Unfortunately change is sometimes for the better.

As a general rule of thumb I understand the AD is the one calling most of the shots with the schedule. It isn't much better for 2009.

It is funny how there is two sides to a story.

I have talked to a handful of parents,players and alumi tonight and everyone is more line with kyvince. I also have talked to a couple of next year top seniors and they wanted Brossart to stay and were looking forward to next year. One parent I talked to said the first thing his son said "we just got jobbed"

Amen bud. If wins and losses have anything to do with this, the fingers should be pointed at the athletic director. I think I read at one point CCH had the #7 toughest schedule in the nation.

Glad to hear this news. As someone who's been a part of (and still very passionate about) this program, Brossart is not cut out to be a coach at CCH. Period.

 

In regard to someone mentioning his treatment of the '08 class...If he treated that senior class poorly, that's one senior class too many.

As I hear more details, the CovCath administration should be ashamed of themselves at how this went down. I am not surprised that Brossart was asked to leave, but they way they did it was classless. The way Rowe's first year is going so far he'd be smart to remember this.

 

As for who wanted him to stay and which want him to go, I think there are a bunch of delusional parents out there. Some of these kids could not have played for Vince Lombardi and lived up to the expectations.
