Why would Tubby want to be put under the microscope once again? I think he will be in Minny for a while, he will be solid every year, and loved by those who root for the Gophers.

B-I-N-G-O

Smart man, that Tubby. I've never quit a job without already having another one lined up. And I don't tell my current employer, or employees, I'm looking, either.
:thumb: Most employers would be very happy to retain an employee 10 years. I am sure that BCG's former employers would have liked to kept him around at least long enough to see a single class of recruits through four years.
Tubby was at UK 10 years. Longer than Ricky stayed. Even Rick P said that you shouldn't stay at a job like UK more than 7 or 8 years as it will burn you out.

We get it, you don't like Tubby. But he did win a title with a group of players less talented than what Rick won with. ;)

BTW, I love Pitino and Tubby.

No, I actually like Tubby but its a fact that he negotiated a contract with Minnesota right before UK started playing in the SEC tourney.

That would be the exact opposite of what Tubby needs.

Still no response? tttttttt.......

I wouldn't think Tubby would go just because of the amount of pressure that would be on him. I think he should stay at Minnesota.

With what Swamprat said; I would not quit my job without having another lined up and I would not tell others that I am looking either.

Did Rick say that or Dick Vitale?

See post #9, #10, and #17........

I don't see him leaving Minnesota. I hope not at least..

actually I don't think that's a fact. There has never been any public offering saying that the contract was negotitated BEFORE the season was over. In fact what's been said publically has been just the opposite.

It was stated that he accepted the job BEFORE the SEC tourney.

Yup. Tubby was/is a classy guy, but he was definitely working on his way out while telling everyone he would be back.

You may be right, but I've never read that anywhere but on a message board. WHERE was it stated?

I hope he stays at Minnesota.

He'd make a great coach no matter where he goes but I'd really like to see if he can take a terrible Minnesota program and build it into something respectable.
