Coach Dawson, does an excellent job with South Charleston. They play hard, full court and for the entire game.

They usually have a lot of quickness and athleticism. Has the potential, to be a very entertaining game.

This should be a great game, interested to see how EC handles a close game.

This should be a good test for the Lions.

South Charleston will be long and Athletic but I look for the Lions to win by 14.

I'm going with South Charleston. I don't feel the Lions early season schedule has prepared them for a tough game like this. Hopefully the EC boys prove me wrong though.

How can you even talk about early season prep? West Va just started High School basketball season games yesterday. I would say South Charleston is way behind Elliott at this point.

Plus WV basketball is NO comparison to KY Basketball.

If Elliott County loses, it won't be because they don't know how to handle themselves in a close game.

Elliott Co. 86-64

From what I have seen in past years is the very top (and only the very top) of wv teams are on par with top Ky teams. This being said South Charleston is on the very top. Their style of play seems to play into Elliots strength and I would be surprised to see them knock Elliot off. Nonetheless, it should be a great game and a challenge to the boys of Sandy Hook.

Checked with a good friend of mine today that lives in Charleston, South Charleston is indeed number one in the state as per today's Charleston paper. I was also told that the high school season just kicked off this week, I believe they have a kickoff event happening at the Charleston Civic Center.

South Charleston is playing their first games this week I'm told, so how big a difference might it make that they have no games under their belt yet?

Well, apparently Elliott County has only played practice squads so far, so it shouldn't have much of an impact on the game.

Since Elliott doesn't play anybody and when they do they get beat I will go with South Charleston 86 Elliott County 78. South Charleston is not a very good team or the margin would be greater.
