Congrats Ft Campbell on back to back wins . The game was like two heavyweights exchanging punchs and the winner barely ahead on points at the end of the fight .

NCC played Mayfield in 05.

You're partially right, and you have to have been there to understand my answer. NewCath had the ball at least 8 times at 3 and 1-3 only to have a false start penalty. I've honestly never seen anything like it. That's why I said that the Ft. C's TOs and NewCaths penalties cancelled themselves out. NewCath would string together 2 or 3 first downs. Get it to third and manageable and shoot themselves in the foot, just like Ft. C did w/ their TO's.

 

I was amazed at the number of false starts called. I did the update thread and joked about copying "false start NCC" so that I could paste it. NCC did have a few false starts last week (more than normal) but nothing like today.

Before I go out for the evening, I did want to say that Mark Kelly and Kues were incredibly courageous that second half. I'll let the people in the know disclose facts, but Mark's knee sustained a great shot in the first half. I'm amazed he played as well as he did in the 2nd. Then Kues separated his non-throwing shoulder again scoring in the 3rd. The whole fourth quarter he had to grab the neck of his shoulder pads b/n plays to take the pressure of it. Also, Andrews from the Fort had a little hitch in his giddy up and still ran a 4.4 forty down the line in the 4th. Great effort by all three to play through it.

I was there too and it really was only raining on the Mayfield side of the field .:thumb:

Congrats to the Falcons for another state title. Congrats tot eh Breds as well for another great season. It was a long drive from Fort Campbell and I was getting worried toward the end of the game but the falcons made the drive worth it.

 

It was a good game and it was great to watch it.

Congrats to Fc for another Tilte..It goes to show when you strive for the title and you play hard and good, good things happen!!!

I was rooting for Fc but I have to say good job to NCC for another great season. Sounds like they have it together to move up to 2a and go to the championship two years in a row...great job!!!

Look forward to next year already hoping to see Fc again and maybe Ncc...:thumb:

Will there be a rematch next year? It sounds like this would have been a fun one to watch.
