This one is for Bill....

Thank you! I look forward to seeing the rest as well.

I just spoke with my son, they just got back to the school. It was so loud on the phone.

We missed you being there Bill. It was another awesome ride home. About 35 miles out from the Army Post, the police, ambulances, and firetrucks picked up the convoy of Football Player school buses, cheerleader vans, and lots of parent cars. And brought them all the way down the Penneyrile Parkway that way. They entered into the Post with horns blaring and many supporters waving and yelling. The school gym was filled with hundreds of fans to congratulate the team. You would have loved it. Wished you were here.

Great game FC. And wow, NCC you are an incredible team. It was an amazing game of football. But I just can't be prouder of the Falcon team for bringing another State Title home! Go Falcons!:ylsuper:

I know how proud you must be. Stay safe and our prayers go with you until you can celebrate with him in person. :thumb:

Congratulations Fort Campbell Falcons!

What a game. Just when it looked like Fort Campbell had control of the game a quick touchdown by NCC on the turnover and before FC knew it they were down by a TD. Way to come back after a rough 3rd quarter and this one came down to the last 2 minutes like most people thought it would. Congrats to NCC on another hard fought championship game and a great season. I have a feeling this will not be the last meeting between these two great teams.

Before I go out for the evening, I did want to say that Mark Kelly and Kues were incredibly courageous that second half. I'll let the people in the know disclose facts, but Mark's knee sustained a great shot in the first half. I'm amazed he played as well as he did in the 2nd. Then Kues separated his non-throwing shoulder again scoring in the 3rd. The whole fourth quarter he had to grab the neck of his shoulder pads b/n plays to take the pressure of it. Also, Andrews from the Fort had a little hitch in his giddy up and still ran a 4.4 forty down the line in the 4th. Great effort by all three to play through it.

Agreed. I was very surprised to not only see Kelly play in the second half, but how hard he continued to run after limping off in the first half. Had no idea about Kues's shoulder, but I hope both of them are alright.

Thank you! I look forward to seeing the rest as well.

Glad you didn't have any problems hearing the game and we wished you could have been there. Like loveoffootball said, the trip back through Christian County into the school was awesome. Go Falcons - Back to Back

How many TD's did Ft. Campbell have called back? NCC?

How many turnovers did each have?

FT. Campbell is CLEARLY the best team in 2A... NCC just had a chance to prove otherwise and failed to do so...

Thanks Brother, it was nice to see A LOT of fine representation by the Monroe County Falcons today. Thanks for having our backs!!

Congrats to both teams. NCC has nothing to be ashamed of. Making it to I believe 4 straight state championships is VERY impressive. Today just wasn't your day.

You are right, nothing to be ashamed of at all!! 4 straight title appearances is amazing.

It was a great game today, probably the best high school game I have ever attended. Congratulations to both teams for outstanding seasons. I think all the fine points of the game have already been covered so, I won't expound on anything. I will end with saying it was impressive to see two teams never give up, both come from behind and battle eachother to the very end!

Great game today! I can't believe how many false starts NCC had! It was like it was their first time in PJS.

Fort Campbell almost gave the win away with two turnovers turned into TD's... But the boys held strong! Congratulations Fort Campbell!

I would loved to have seen this game in person. I listened on the web and will get to see a replay tomorrow. I was going then changed my mind.

I would like to have seen Antonio play, he sounds like the real deal.

I know one of the refs from the game, can't wait to talk to him tomorrow.

That's AWESOME! Congratulations on your championship. I love the way the community steps up and supports the effort and success of their own. Best of luck to you next year.

Three straight...It was Beechwood and Mayfield in 05...

Still impressive...:thumb:

This is the fourth straight championship game that NCC has been to. I've been to all of them to watch my younger brothers play

It actually was NCC Mayfield in 2005, Danville in 2006, then Fort Campbell in 2007 and 2008.

Congrats to the Breds for a great season.

Congrats to Fort Campbell. You guys played a great game!

You missed a dandy of a game!

FC doesn't get near the media coverage as a lot of the teams in KY, so the Antonio Andrews story has been slow getting out there. He did make the AP All-State honorable mention team at QB, which is a start. He can do it all: run, throw, catch, even played defensive back today in some situations.

When FC was down 20 - 13, I know Antonio never flinched he has ice water in his veins. He truly believes that at any moment he can change the game. In the last scoring sequence he threw a 50 + yard pass for a winning TD which was called back by a penalty. What does he do the very next play? Does he get discouraged, shake his head at the ref, or yell at his teammate? No, Antonio catches a 50 + yard pass, jukes half the NCC team out of their shoes and wins the game.

I think he will be in the final mx for Mr. Football next year. I know the Collinsworth boy from Highlands is the sexy pick, but Antonio from the little 2A school at the Fort is for real!!

That entire sequence sounded very impressive on radio.
