You missed a dandy of a game!

FC doesn't get near the media coverage as a lot of the teams in KY, so the Antonio Andrews story has been slow getting out there. He did make the AP All-State honorable mention team at QB, which is a start. He can do it all: run, throw, catch, even played defensive back today in some situations.

When FC was down 20 - 13, I know Antonio never flinched he has ice water in his veins. He truly believes that at any moment he can change the game. In the last scoring sequence he threw a 50 + yard pass for a winning TD which was called back by a penalty. What does he do the very next play? Does he get discouraged, shake his head at the ref, or yell at his teammate? No, Antonio catches a 50 + yard pass, jukes half the NCC team out of their shoes and wins the game.

I think he will be in the final mx for Mr. Football next year. I know the Collinsworth boy from Highlands is the sexy pick, but Antonio from the little 2A school at the Fort is for real!!

Is he at FC 100% next year. Meaning his father/mother will not be transferred? (wish he would transfer here:jump::D)

Collinsworth, Fugate, Andrews, also Hayden from LCA, Watkins from here (Corbin) could be in the final mix. I'm positive there are some other greats from large schools, but anyway.........

AND DID DO IT ALL!!:scared: Nice job young man.

That entire sequence sounded very impressive on radio.

I can't wait to watch the game on video. It got so wild half-way through the third to the end of the game that it is hard to remember a lot of the particulars.

I am thankful that Antonio is 100% Falcon next season!

Congrats to the Falcons great game you deserve it. I had the pleasure of talking to Anthony Topps father after the game all I can say is what a class act truly amazing people. I expect to see them back next year to make it a 3peat.

This was his first year as a varsity starter. He should be extra special next year when he will be able to mix experience with his talent.

Fantastic!!

I know I heard his name last year. Was he just in the rotation?

I'm signing off. I've got to get up for guard duty in five hours! Don't think I'll get much sleep though.

Again, congrats to the NCC 'Breds on a fantastic season.

BACK TO BACK FALCONS BABY!

They did it FC, FalconBacker, they did it!!!!!!!!

Later.

Bill, It was a super game!!

BACK TO BACK

Don't be sleeping on guard duty - and get home safely, soon!!!!!!

Not much at the varsity level. Antonio was the star of the JV team last season, which went undefeated, but not a lot of time at the varsity level. Our QB last season was a fine young man named CJ Croft. CJ was a three-year starter and I believe he was named to the 2nd team all-state. We thought that replacing CJ was going to be the real challenge for FC this season, but then along came Antonio.

What was the "hold-up" on the NCC side of the field @ the end of the game? Just wondering.

I spoke with my son when he arrived back at Fort Cambell. He told me that the NCC players didn't want to come to mid-field and shake hands. He told me that NCC coaching staff had to tell them to get out there.

Now, I'm not saying that my son is a liar, but sometimes things at that level get a bit exaggerated. It could have been one thing, and by the time it got to him.....that's what it ended up being.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Glad you didn't have any problems hearing the game and we wished you could have been there. Like loveoffootball said, the trip back through Christian County into the school was awesome. Go Falcons - Back to Back

I got your 'hello' message from Tim while I was talking with him. I was so happy for Casey. I'm so proud of those boys. Pass my congrats on to him. It seems like yesterday when the two of them were on the same baseball team together (I gotta have Kim dig out that old team photo of the team.)

Later.

Congratulations to Fort Campbell

So very true, I find it hard to believe there was another Junior in the state that had as big of impact or contribution as Antonio did. FC will have most of their offense returning next year, which should help out as well.

You might be thinking of Olan Andrews who played DB and Reciever last year as a Senior.
