  1. This is the fourth straight championship game that NCC has been to. I've been to all of them to watch my younger brothers play It actually was NCC Mayfield in 2005, Danville in 2006, then Fort Campbell in 2007 and 2008. Congrats to the Breds for a great season. Congrats to Fort Campbell. You guys played a great game!
  2. I don't even think safety courses are the answer. You can take all the safety courses and do everything by the book and there is always the remote chance that something bad will happen. Even if it is remote, I still think the risk outweights having the cannon at the games. Highlands and other schools that use cannons should come up with new traditions during games. Its not worth the risk of someone becoming injured from it. My thoughts and prayers are with this man and his family.
  3. At my high school there was some sort of ratio of time played or number of plays. So a lot of guys didn't letter until their junior or senior years unless they were really good or on special teams. At my brothers high school they lettered just by simply being part of the team--dressing and practicing.
  4. I don't remember them checking bags or anything for the past few years.
  5. The one problem is teams committing to their JV schedule. I know this year at NCC very few JV games were played since teams were constantly cancelling on them. So while I do think that Brossart is probably playing on a level they aren't ready for yet, it is hard to say if they'd get much accomplished on a JV level.
  6. 42-15 end of 4th quarter
