I do remember that a player by the name of Alex Smith played for Meyer at Utah, got drafted high and has been a complete bust. Now I know Tebow is better than Smith, but UF's offense doesn't equate to success on the next level for QBs. When I think of Tebow I think of a tough nosed, leader, who's best attribute is his legs, and not his arm. He'll be in the league but I don't expect much from him, could be a solid backup.

Tebow reminds me of Tyler Hansboro alot. They seem to have the alot of the same traits. Tebow knows he probably won't be drafted until at least the 3rd round. He will be back for the senior year with the chance of 3 heisman's which will be a record and a chance of 3 Natl' Championships which will be another record? I assume

Tebow may not be your typical pro QB, but that does not mean he will not be special. I think his college's offense makes him seem like a running QB, but this is not Eric Crouch. The kid will be special. He is a winner and that is something that throwing motion, release, wonderlic, or anything else can't match up to. He wins and has success both throwing & running in the closest thing to pro football (The SEC). He may be a back up for a while untill he learns a system, but he will be a franchise QB somewhere down the line.

Alex Smith played in the WAC. Tebow plays in the SEC. Not even comparable. Tebow is much more ready for NFL talent than Smith was. Shoot he sees more NFL talent than Smith did in practice.

There have been many QBs that have managed to do well in the SEC that have flopped in the NFL or just flat out didn't make it there at all. Wuerfell, Grossman, Tee Martin, Jamarcus Russell, etc.

Tebow will be a QB in the NFL. If he doesn't make it, he doesn't make it, but he's not going to be a FB or a TE.

 

Tebow has flaws...like every QB coming out of college. He also has a huge upside, which is something souts like. With his potential and his attitude, I think teams will feel pretty good about being able to make a franchise QB out of him.

 

As for his running ability...it will certainly be tougher in the NFL, but he'll still have the ability to run. He'll just have to learn to slide. Also, his strength will make him a tough guy to bring down in the backfield.

 

Tebow is going to be a high first round pick when he enters the draft.

I saw on ESPN that Kiper has him as a 2nd to 3rd round pick as a halfback or TE. I do not understand this. If a player of his caliber that may win 2 straight heisman awards befroe his senior season is a QB, you do not take him as a HB or a TE!

Colt McCoy can actually PASS the ball. Tebow's numbers say he can, but with that slow delivery and awkward motion, and his non-blazing speed, there is no way he will make a good pro QB.

I think he will be a better QB at the next level than many think.
