Did you watch the tournament at Inez, KY where Scott Co. played that WV team.

Scott won the first half, but WV won the second and didn't look near as impressive as EC did.

Did you also notice that 6' 8" senior Richie Phares was in street clothes the entire Logan Scrimmage due to illness. His presence on the court would have made a 15 to 20 point difference in that game.

I don't care if anyone roots for pr against SC, just keep it real.

Sorry Coach, I posted before I saw your warning. :thumb:

No problem, just wanting to eliminate the path, the discussion was traveling down.

Yes, I noticed that too.

Sorry coach, Won't do it again. ;)

Great showing for SC. Thats a ton of big time talent that they had to face but they played great it sounds like.

Glad to see this outcome. Great win for Duncanville :thumb:

I would hope any Kentucky school, would win against an out of state opponent.

In most situations, I would with the same. Just not this particular one :thumb:

Not everyone is enamored with a high school team basically picking and choosing their team from all over the state. Obviously some on here like to jump on the bandwagon.

I did not realize Phares struggled so much in this game. He was 1 for 9 from the field and didn't reach double figures. He was in early foul trouble trying to defend players he's not accustomed to having to guard at his own height. He should shake this once he gets back to playing Kentucky teams.

I think SC may be the greatest team ever assembled in the state of KY. Not only do they have talent, but they seem to play well together. Good passing team. Run their plays and pass well. Euton, Jackson, Guyn have all improved from last year.

Way too early to say this. The ingredients are there presumably but Hicks has his work cut out for him to get this group of players playing like a TEAM.

I think SC showed the Nation that if you can take the top talent in KY and get them to attend your school you can compete with Nationally ranked schools. If you take the transfers out of this lineup what do you really have?

I know Phares is the real deal and will dominate KY opponents for the most part but if Guyn, CJ, Euton and Flannery dont transfer who plays on this team? Phares, (frosh) Manning, Ford.........????? For a huge county school with 3 middle school feeders is there talent waiting in the wings and if so would they be a top 5 team in the state?

Just curious as these are questions many want to know.

It's a long season padre'. I suggest you let the season play out. Scott County got the transfers in and built a team. Had Euton and Jackson stayed at Rose Hill, Hill would be an average team at best and likely SC would be average at best without Euton and Jackson.

I would wait until SC gets into 11th region play before claiming greatness.

And one more note, Kentucky teams have always done great against top teams out in the country. For instance, no out-of-state team comes into the KOB and just walks out.
