December 5, 200817 yr Let's see... My mother gave me the book Fit at 40. I think she was trying to tell me something. This year I'm hoping to receive Fat at 50. Just hold on for 10 more years for the Sizzling Sexy at 60 book.:thumb:
December 5, 200817 yr Back in the day, we would exchange names for gifts. Problem was, I have this one aunt who was awful with gift selections. Plus, they had four kids, so odds were pretty good one of her kids would draw my name. One year it was this robe that might have fit someone 75 pounds lighter and a foot shorter than me. This thing came only about an inch below my waist, and left nothing to the imagination. The next year was almost as bad: She must've went to one of those western wear stores in the mall where the folks who do that ridiculous country line dancing stuff do their shopping, because it was some outrageous shirt that looked like it would fit in perfect at the Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville. Not sure who ended up with it, but I never wore it. There were other awful ones, and her kids ended up with my name something like five years in a row, but the above two are the most memorable. In her defense, she got a lot better about it, upon urging from her children as they grew older.
December 5, 200817 yr Any kind of sweater that I dont pick out. My mother-in law got me a horrible sweater and a gas grill gauge (because late in summer when we had a grillout I was out of gas and she was irritated, LOL) a few years ago. I told my wife, just tell her that CASH works best honey. LOL
December 5, 200817 yr  the "coupons cut out" part got me. Sad, but true. The best part of it all is the look on my wife's face when I get things like this.
December 5, 200817 yr My mom bought me a coo-koo clock, and said it was expensive so it lasts for 3 years of birthdays and christmas, I dont even have it I let my x-wife keep it. I got two year to go before my next gift.
December 5, 200817 yr My ex-wife's aunt and husband got me smoked sausage, cheese, and crackers sampler packs (about $4 at at any Dollar Store or WalMart), for three straight years!:creepy: I suppose they were sending me a message. Maybe that's why it's now an ex-family-in-law.
December 5, 200817 yr My in-laws always get me crappy gifts. Been married 10 years, and the nicest gift I have received from them is a new Rand McNally road atlas from Wal-Mart with the oil change coupons cut out. The worst gifts range from garden decorations that glow in the dark (a butterfly and a hummingbird) to a size medium shirt. I am 6'7". I can't wait to see what's next. :creepy: You sound like my neighbor. Last year, while everyone unwrapped their numerous gifts at his in-laws, he just sat there and watched. After everyone was done, his mother-in-law stood up and said, "I forgot something." She went out into the garage and came back with his gift. It was a case of Coke.
December 6, 200817 yr Someone trying to send a message? Well, consideing the fact that I was 15 at the time, I'm gonna say no!
December 6, 200817 yr I got a race car magazine for Christmas once. I do not like racing that much, and I was under 10 years old, so I really didn't even like magazines in general .
December 6, 200817 yr I recieved a nosehair trimmer one Christmas. Hook me up bro. I could use one of those. I get sick of plucking mine. LOL
December 6, 200817 yr Hook me up bro. I could use one of those. I get sick of plucking mine. LOL One of the few gifts worse than a nosehair trimmer would be a used nosehair trimmer...
