I've seen 'em all in NKY this year and no question Miles Simpson is the best all-around football player in this part of the state.

It's easy to get carried away isn't it ! For the neysayers, remember there are a lot of D-1 schools....... not all are Florida, "The Ohio State", etc. Regarding the Highlands players, Collinsworth is in.........Grubbs &Welz are possibilities based on size (think S. Wise/Holy Cross) Will Bardo is a possibility based on size /speed but needs some bulk and a productive Sr. year. As for D-1, I'll stop there. (Roller was close before the injury but will have a tough road back (think Josh Conner). Although the 2007 Birds had a lot of potential & expectation, what they didn't have was comparable size. The 2009 "football" class will have a number of others drawing interest outside D-1 (Buten, Hogue, Schlosser to name a few) and could have a large number actuallly hit the gridiron at the collegiate level.

 

Regarding some others in N. Ky: Simpson is in.........Nichols has size but is still unproven; Quainoo may be undersized; haven't seen West enough lately to say for sure but he has size and is progressing. Overall, the Class of 2010 is a pretty strong group in N Ky. and plenty will move on, just stay grounded when you think legit D-1.

So Ryan will definitely be the QB? I thought that they were still leaning towards the Sophomore. What about Pike?

 

Ryan ended the year very well and has learned a lot, he made good decisions and protected the ball. I highly doubt that with the experience he got this year and how well the backfield played that you would see a change. And i would say look for Pike to make some much need contributions to the defense.

Dylan Curry (QB/DE) at Western Hills (Frankfort) has all the tools. He is 6'6" and 230 lbs. and runs a 4.7-4.8.

It is tough to replace a talented senior with a sophomore with one year of freshmen ball at QB - and almost always ill advised. Wilson has a lot of talent and really got it together the last half of the year.

I wasn't impressed with Dixie's QB at all when they played CCH early in the year. Not sure which guy it was though..

Antonio Andrews: Will be on the short list for Mr. Football next year, even though he is from a small school. Antonio, right now, is one of the most exciting players in the state. Ft. Campbell doesn't get the press coverage that many of the larger schools in Kentucky receive, but his name is starting to get out there.

He is currently a smaller version of West Virginia QB Pat White. Should Antonio continue to grow a couple of inches, he has the speed, skills, and instinct to attract the attention of many college programs.
