November 29, 200817 yr Somehow Team Turnover (U.K.) pulls this one out with what I think was 32 turnovers :mad:. Meeks was amazing tonight and I believe that the KSU point guard (Clemente) is quite possibly the worlds fastest human :eek:. U.K. covers up (barely) 30+ turnovers with a 70% shooting night to win by 2.

K-State covered with the last second buzzer beater. :irked: Kentucky started off slow, then turned it on, then went back to the way they started. We blew a 17 point lead! Kentucky has only run 2 offensive plays that I can remember all year. One of them resulted in Michael Porter hitting a jumper off of a screen against Longwood (maybe Del. State) and another was tonight with Ramon Harris hitting a 17 footer from the top of the key. I've wondered why Jodie Meeks wasn't playing PG until tonight. He had a brilliant game, but when he drives he forces things. He was on fire tonight, but he was killing us at the end of the game. It's hard to criticize a kid who had a game like Jodie did tonight though. TV timeout with 3:59 to go. Kentucky taking the ball out of bounds. We come out of the media timeout and can't get the ball in bounds? Seriously? We NEVER run any type of offensive set. That's probably part of the reason some guys look so lost out there. 30+ turnovers is more than you should have for this entire Vegas trip... Bottom line is a win is a win. This team has tons of potential, but an awful lot of work to do before we're anywhere close to where we want to be. And maybe that's a good thing. Remember, it's not even December...
November 29, 200817 yr gave up 16 offensive boards and commit 31 turnovers but still eke out a win. I'll take it. Although UK shot descent from the line, a lot of their misses were front end of bonus. By missing the first we didnt get to shoot the second. UK really has to fix this ball handling. I know it's been beaten to death, but they can't hope to win with these kind of stats.
November 29, 200817 yr Evidently Liggins refused to go into the game in the second half. Interesting. Stevenson was flat awful. Meeks filled it up but turned it over a bunch. Porter was not real good but had 5 assists to 4 turnovers. Their passing has become befuddling. Might have to scrap the hi-lo offense and go into a dribble motion weave more, like they did that created some backdoor openings.
November 29, 200817 yr Porter made some nice hustle plays, but they still have no one to set the table on offense. Some of their turnovers were just baffling. I have to say, the first time I'd ever seen Huggins highligts, and he looked pretty solid as a player.
