As to the game, Boyle had great execution and seemed to be consistently disciplined in their defense.

 

I would have like to have seen the Knights offense run the ball a little more early. I agree that their WR's aren't as big and speedy as usual and I felt the play-calling was pretty predictable.

 

Overall, a good year for LexCath and best of luck to the Rebels next week

Do you think that Lex Cath could have run the ball more on Boyle? Why do you think the recievers weren't as good this year?

I don't know whether they could have run the ball more or not. It would have been nice to have found out. I do think, however that the offense had improved over the past few games by showing a better mix in running and passing. Again, this might be because of the competition, but I would certainly like to have seen more of Raglin earlier in the game.

 

As for the receivers, I don't think I said they weren't as good; just not as big or speedy. I base that opinion on watching the Knights teams for the last 10 years. That's just my opinion, however. Like noses, everyone has one

Thanks I was just wondering haven't seen Lex Cath play this year. I was just trying to compare them from the team last year and it looks like to me their isn't any comparision at all with the skilled positions.

It was interesting to read the comments at the bottom of the page. As has already been mentioned about the "condiment dumps" on the visitors side, someone tried to point out that Boyle officials were made aware of the issue and worked to try to clean it up.

 

I'm sorry that LC fans had to experience that and apologize as a BCHS alum for whatever group or pranksters left the mess.

 

This is a great rivalry with great history and tradition for the last 10+ years (despite the hiatus when we were in different regions). I hope this doesn't bring a sour note to the rivalry.

 

On the flip side, and I couldn't avoid saying it; at least there are adequate visitors stands.

 

I do wish the Knights supporters well, they should be proud of this team in a rebuilding year and look forward to this rivalry continuing. :thumb:

My first game I've seen at Boyle Co and it was a great atmosphere. Hats off to both teams. There was a lot of speed on the field and it was a really physical game. Two GREAT programs and it was fun to watch both teams flying around!

I hate to hear that things like this went on. I would like to know what happened as well. It seems as some fans are getting less mature as this is the 2nd or 3rd incident throughout the year I have heard involving us and the other teams' fans. I heard we had some classless fans at the LexCath game in Lexington that were yelling and cussing at LexCath players and coaches after the first game. I love a good rivalry, but I prefer we not look like idiots. It paints us all in a bad light.
