Wow that video clears it all up. I told all of you it was good. I think I might have had the best view being on the far end of the field and the goalpost side that it sailed over and between.

 

Doesnt matter now but could have been critical. If they go in 10-7 at half and come out and score like they did then its a 17-7 game. JC put together a great drive and was on the verge of scoring until Kody's heroics but if that doesnt happen they might score and its 17-14. A lot of could of and would ofs but Bird fans are just happy to get the victory against a very good team.

We'll just putthat in the "you owe us one" column!

Wow that wasn't really even close. When I heard about it, I was thinking the ball went over the upright. That was clearly inside:confused:

I think I know of one pair of officials who should not be calling the State Finals with their narrower goalposts.

That highlight was filmed directly behind the midpoint of the crossbar. The ONLY way you could have definitive proof of a blown call would be if the camera were directly behind the official under the left upright.

Should the camera have been placed on top of the referee's hat? Seriously, give me a break. I love how the ref had to look over at the other ref who had a worse view of it for his approval. It was the old, when in doubt call it no good.

The replay clearly shows the kick was good. Even the station's own sports anchor said, "How is that not good?!" :eek: Fortunately, the bad call had no effect on the eventual outcome of the game.

I'll agree it looked good from the camera's perspective. Please note, that is NOT the same as saying the official got the call wrong.
