Outstanding game by SK's defense - OUTSTANDING! Simpson will gets ton of press - and deservedly so - for this game, but the SK down lineman and linebackers won this game. They beat Boone at the line of scrimmage and shut down Boone's running game. It certainly helped that Boone refused to throw the ball until the very end of the game. Single coverage on their WR's all game and not one attempt to throw deep. Boone played well on defense also, though I'm not sure how you lose sight of Simpson on the long screen play (completely uncovered coming out of the backfield). Good luck to SK next week against Male and here's wishing you'll bring home a 6A state championship to NKY!!!

Maybe they just had the lights turned up really, really bright at the field.

Congrats to SK, is this there best team ever in there history.

Congrats to Marksberry and his staff for a well called game. The changes on defensive line worked out really well. The biggest congrats g to all the players. These young men had a rough start to a season that has turned into a dream come true for all involved. The defense played one heck of a game tonight. The offense really showed what they are capable off. This momentum will carry on into next week and SK will prevail again. The only thing that really amazed me is the lack of spirit from the parents in the stands. Would love to see the rest of the crowd as enthusiastic as some. These young men deserve that much from their fans.:dancingpa

I agree. Leaving Simpson open in the flats for a one one with a db is trouble and Boone payed for that. SK had a good game plan and was the better team tonight. Good run Boone and Good Luck next week SK.

I'm not a parent, but I almost fainted after the first Carroll's first interception, hard to belive that yelling "get down" can actually wind a person is scary, makes you wonder how you actually once played. Plenty of spirit from more than a few alumni, WE are very proud of our Neers, and now we EXPECT to win.
