Sportsfan, you're a good one, because I would have ended up in jail if someone sucker punched me...Me in jail, them in the hospital.

I think a drunk Sportsfan could've gotten himself in some trouble, but incidents like last night are exactly why I don't like to drink much when I'm out.

You go to a bar and then complain about drunk people ? Isn't that like going to a strip club and complaining about all the naked women ?

Just playin with ya. That sucks. Your a better man than I am, my temper would have taken over and I would have spent my Thanksgiving behind bars.

Have you reported your cell phone as lost ? I'd do that ASAP. Have your carrier turn it off. No telling who has it now and what calls they're making.

About to do that now.

Drunk people are exactly why you won't catch me at a bar very often. All my friends went out last night and I was drunk dialed and texted from 2AM on, but it beats having drunk guys all over me, or watching drunk guys try to fight because in all honesty, I get SO emberassed for them. lol.

Sounds like you were the bigger man, and I REALLY hope those guys weren't trying to pick a fight or make fun of the guy in the wheelchair, because that is just sad, and pathetic.

Last night was the biggest Amateur night of the year. Many people use it as an excuse to act like fools. Just be glad you got out of their with a bruised ego and not a broken bone or worse. Happy Thanksgiving !

I dont know, New Years Eve is a pretty big amateur night as well.

Down by our local establishment, a store by the bar had its front window broken with lots a blood all around (nothing stolen). I think somebody took a misstep after having a few too many and got hurt. No one knows who it was, so we can only hope he/she wasnt hurt too badly.

After being a bouncer, I agree. I can't stand drunks in public places. I especially despise the ones like sportsfan ran into, the ones with liquid courage. :madman:

Good.

A few weeks ago at EKU a man stole my little sisters cell phone. She called me freaked out about it and woke me out of a dead sleep. I didn't think to report it as stolen until the next day. Unfortunately the scum bag had already ran up a huge bill on her internet usage.:madman:

I believe a combination of our insurance and the understanding people and Cingular are going to take care of it because it was stolen.

This is exactly why I avoid bars. I'll drink at a place like Applebee's or while out to dinner but never go to bars. Too many idiots and personally I just don't like drinking much.

I'm very non confrontational and try to avoid fighting at all costs but in a situation like that my temper probably would have gotten the better of me. I too work out several nights a week and am a pretty big guy having played football at the D1 level.

You were the bigger man sportsfan. Like Deuce, I probably would have ended up in jail for kicking the crap out of some drunk.

Yea these guys were scum. Honestly it's kind of ironic. Right before we were leaving I over heard a guy in the rest room talking about some drunk idiots he knew out front trying to pick fights and how he thought it was just so stupid and didn't know why they wanted to get in a fight. I laughed and my exact words to him when walking out "Yea that's just stupid, it's not worth spending a night in jail, just to throw a few punches", He agreed, and we went our seperate ways. Wish he would've gave me more warning that these guys probably enjoy jail life.:madman:

I'm the exact same way, I just don't like confrontations, it only makes you look stupid when you're a part of it, so why not just avoid it. I had no problem just walking away and looking like we were "scared" because I knew that wasn't the case at all, but these knuckle heads(pun intended) just weren't having any part of that.

I may've been somewhat misleading, I didn't start the fight, but I certainly finished it. Well actually my buddy did when he pulled me from on top of some guy. When I lose my cool I forget to throw punches, and just try to choke someone out. I just kinda go into self defense mode.

I agree wholeheartedly with walking away but when someone lays hands on you, its almost past the point of walking away. A good whipping might have saved these guys in the future because I have known a couple of guys from my past that, had that happened to them, someone would have probably gone to the graveyard and they would have definitely ended up in the pen. Walking away is always the best move if you can!

HEY!!!!! I am not as think as you drunk I am!!!!!

Seriously, you made a good decision. There is really no right decision, I mean if you ask 100 people you will get 100 different answers on what they would do, but I think you made a really good decision.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

You hanging out at the 915 again. Was Sweeperboy the culprit!!!!!:laugh::laugh:

Glad you are Ok, we all seen stories where someone was seriously hurt or killed. Had the same thing happen out side Sharonville Ohio while eating dinner. I was at the hotel staying for my job. There was a party going on and some guy came up and asked me if I would fight the Birthday Boy? They were all very drunk.
