Is this game at Boyle? What time is kickoff. I'm going to be in Lex for Thanksgiving and would love to slip away from the in laws to see this one. I've got strong ties to both programs.

 

Game is at Boyle. Kickoff 7:30pm. Come on out!!! I can't wait for this one.

The first game was a close one, and I would expect the same outcome in round three of the playoffs.

As Boyle continues to move through the playoffs, many Thanksgiving plans will be put on hold. Such a good problem to have.

 

Looking forward to a hard fought game with Lex Cath with Boyle coming out on top, after all it's hard to win in the Rebel nation. This game could be a huge defensive battle which will play into Boyles hands. Go get'em Defense!

I was thinking the same thing I believe that Skunk has done this several times before in other threads about LC I believe he is getting confused.

Haven't seen Boyle Co. play this year, but have seen both games between Harrison Co. and Lexington Catholic.

 

Although LC defeated HC easily both times, this year's Knights aren't nearly as good as last year's team. In the game last night, HC coulda, shoulda been ahead 14-0 or 14-7 at halftime.

 

Early in the game, HC moved the ball pretty well against LC on the ground...never eaven threatened to pass.

 

Two first quarter fumbles and another in the second quarter proved to be HC's undoing. The first fumble came after forcing a LC punt and driving to the LC 30 yard line...up 7-0 at the time.

 

With 3 minutes or so left in the first half, LC led 14-7 and HC had the ball on about their own 40. HC chose to go for it on 4th and 2 and were stuffed. LC converted with less than a minute to go in the half and led 21-0.

 

After the kickoff, HC had the ball on their half of mid-field again...about the 40 yard line again. With 11 seconds to go in the half, HC attempted a pass on the right side that was intercepted and returned to the HC 21 yard line with 3 seconds to play. LC made the FG to take a 24-7 lead to halftime.

 

To summarize, even though I haven't seen BC play, everything I've heard about them is that they don't beat themselves, have a strong running game and a rock solid defense.

 

Just don't think LC has the bullets to withstand BC, especially in Danville.

I'm sure some of the Boyle faithful may like this prediction, but there is no way in Hades that Boyle wins by 4 td's. In their first meeting this year, Boyle was VERY fortunate to pull out the W due to 2 HUGE penalties committed by the Knights which nullified TD's. While I definitely think Boyle's defense can give them the W, as the saying goes its is awfully difficult to beat a great team 2x in the same season. I almost wish Boyle would have lost that 1st game so it would give them added energy to avenge a loss. But no matter how you slice it, this will be a war and should be very similar to the first meeting with defense being the difference in this one. I hope the Rebels can pull another one out, but it will be a formidable task.

I hope it's that big but I don't think it will be. Go Rebs take care of business.

These two teams played some slobber knocker games in the past. 1999 and 2000 (regular season and playoffs) where the most exciting games I have ever whitness. All of these games where not decided untill the clock ran out, and I see no difference this coming Friday. IMO field postition and the kicking game (punting, extra points, and field goals) will be the difference.
