I went back and checked the previous 2 weeks on teams that have already played each other this year. I found that the team winning in the regular season went 16-5 on a rematch in the playoffs (76.19%). That's almost 1/4 getting revenge. A little higher than I thought it would have been.

Super, you bring up a very interesting point. Lexington Catholic is wanting to revenge the loss earlier in the season but don't think Boyle County doesn't remember when they got embarrassed last season. Boyle County will avenge last years playoff loss and win this year to play at Bell County! :thumb:

I heard that a player for LC will be out this game due to a broken bone in his leg against Harrison County. Didn't get the name, only that he was a skill player with good speed. Anyone know any details on this?

See I tend to think Boyle needs to be able to pass better than they did the first meeting. If Boyle can pass, the run will open up. In the first meeting the running game drove the Rebels to the win (well actually the defense did for 90% of the game).

 

I believe if Boyle's defense can keep LC from big plays it might frustrate them particularly if Boyle can break on top early.

 

Either way I believe it should be the best game (competitive and talent wise) this weekend. (Bell is too much for KC so I don't look for that one to be competitive.)

Aumiller is back healthy and I think this will have a impact. He didn't play any of the 2nd half in the 1st game. But Boyle still got the Win at LC!!

I have seen LC play this year... I will respectfully reply that this is not the same calibre LC squad from last year or from the title team from a couple of years ago. I have not seen BC play this year... but will go with a close Danville contact and say BC walks away with a big Rebel win.

I know that you are not supposed to look ahead.... but if Boyle and Bell both win this week, where will their game be played?????

No. It's just too far and we have some other commitments here in VA.

 

I also realize that if Boyle wins they will likely end up at Bell the next weekend and that would only be 5 hours away. But there's this little problem with my son's Senior banquet that night and I have to be there. :cry: :lol:
