I tell all the Kragthorpe haters what....if he gets das boot, things will get a lot worse. I'm so unbelievably disappointed in the Louisville fan base that it literally makes me sick to my stomach.

 

As to this situation, I couldn't watch the game so I don't know what happned. But, I will say this...I agree that the logo should be respected when in an opponent's stadium. If UC were praying, that's one thing. But if not, that's another. Either way, I'm behind Kragthrope.

 

It's ok to support a team, and admit that its coach is not doing a good job. It makes me sick to hear all the UofL fans try to blame Krags problems on Petrino.

This is really funny....Not long ago, when all the attrition was occurring, everyone was with me in that Kragthrope was not responsible for the recruiting of those players. Now, 21 scholly players less than he started with...none of whom were recruited by him, and many of whom were of less than desirable, he's responsible. IMO, Kragthorpe had every right to march into Jurich's office and say "Hey! This ain't the job you presented. I'm out." IMO, it says a lot about him that he's sticking through it.

Yeah, and it stinks for those of you who are there thick and thin, no matter what. We have our own pathetic version of the 18% and I'm ashamed of it.

Four years ago, the Louisville coaching staff accused the University of Cincinnati players of disrespecting the Cardinal logo at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium but jumping up and down on the logo before the game.

 

 

Fast forward to Friday night, with different coaching staffs and different players, and the logo is still the focus of controversy between the two long-time rivals.

 

 

This time it was Louisville coach Steve Kragthorpe and several of his players who were offended because the Bearcats gathered at midfield, held hands in a circle around the logo and said a pre-game prayer, as they do at midfield before every road game.

 

 

Brian Kelly said today that Kragthorpe “confronted” him about it before the game.

 

 

“It turned into a situation where a couple of their players came down onto the field and had to be restrained by some of their players,” Kelly said. “Steve and I talked about it before the game. We disagreed about the manner in which it was handled but kept it professional and moved on.

 

 

“The kids played the game with a lot of emotion, but you had no taunting, no personal fouls, none of that baloney.”

Give me a break with this "mid field logo" crap Louisville! I never really felt one way or the other on Kragthorpe until tonight, but his shenanigans (bugatti 2002) over UC having a team prayer group circled around the midfield logo is a joke. The guy is CLEARLY getting desperate. Kinda sad really...

 

Louisville should worry more about playing football than they do their precious logo. That just might work out better for them.

Our disagreement had nothing to do with how our kids play and how it should go at the end of the day. The game was much more important than the pre-game.”

It sounds like I got to the scene right after they shook hands. It lowers my boiling point a little, but I still think the way he acted was uncalled for given the circumstances...

Kragthorpe is a dork, and a horrible coach. After the game, ESPN did put it on BK, probably because he has the repuation of being a jerk. But, I thought it was Kragthorpe. Either way it doesn't matter, Cincy was the better team, and they proved it.

 

Kragthorpe has ruined all the hard work John L and Bobby Petrino put into the program.

From an outsider, it seems the only hard work of Bobby Petrino that Steve Kragthorpe is ruining was his hard work in assembling a team full of thugs. Win at all cost.....doesn't surprise me.

 

It is obvious the man can coach football with all his successes at previous jobs. Given time, I am sure he can accomplish that at Louisville. Probably unfortunately, he won't waste any more time trying to clean up Bobby's mess after this season.
