Well everytime I start to lose faith in this group of Tomcats, they go and prove me wrong again. I knew I was doing a much job of motivating the Tomcats than Ram was. I guess I picked the wrong group of Cats to watch tonight. Congrats to Ashland on the win. I'm all up for a road trip next Friday night, and I'm calling for spindoc to be my copilot.

I think my motivating tactics worked better.

 

Congratulations to the Tomcats, keep the momentum going. Smell the blood in the water, Bryan Station almost beat Highlands, you have bit the same chance. Play to win.

I thought the Tomcats would come to play, but I wasn't expecting a double digit spread. Congrats on a quality win over a quality team.

Get rested up fellas, next week is a tough one !

The Tomcats were not going to be denied tonight! Great job and effort by so many players…the enthusiasm out there was contagious and Ryan Bonner played his best game of the season/career. Carter ran like a wild man as well and I just don’t know how such a small back can carry 3 and 4 defenders without going down. Josh Alber continues to surprise me (and Dixie) with his speed. The Tomcat linemen…Thompson, Hale, Holbrook, Salisbury, Pennington, Kosacowski & company…great job fellas…you really took it to them and never let up.

 

As for Dixie…I would cringe every time the ball was snapped. The Colonels lived up to their reputation of being able to score quickly. Although they only ran one play in the 1st quarter, it was good for about an 80 yard score. I believe one of their two remaining seniors went out in the first half with an injury...Dixie will be formidable next season.

 

Congratulations Ashland on the win…it’s not every day we get to tag a northern Kentucky team. Overall record between these two is now tied 3-3.

 

Nice win Painter. It looks like the Cats have came a long way wince the scrimmage with CCHS at the beginning of the year. Good luck next week.

Once again glad to see the tomcats pull this one out! Rumors were going around that Raceland and Russsell would be the only teams left in the playoffs from this area this week. And I said nope Ashland will pull a win just watch! And I was laughed at. And look who's laughing now! Great win for the program! Anytime a team from this area plays away in the playoffs and walks away with a win is impressive.

No, I hope the trip in is beautiful. It's the trip back that I'm hoping they won't enjoy as much.

Thank you Leatherneck. I've never been to Highlands. Ashland and Highlands used to play fairly often I'm told - but not during my years as a parent of a Tomcat. I'm looking forward to the trip. I’m proud that our boys have earned the right to play the top ranked 5A team.
