True. :ylsuper: But when you have a top five basketball team to look foward too, who needs football?

Pre Season rankings mean nothing.

I only saw the last 15 minutes but one thing I did notice is that they are the cats are no longer slow and not very athletic. I think the past 4 or 5 years they had been behind in those categories when compared to the other high level D1 teams.

I think this UK team is going to exceed the pre-season expectations and end up ranked between 10-20th going into the NCAA tourney.

Thats what I expect as well.:thumb:

It looks like we may have the depth to wear teams down.

Because the UofL fans have already bailed on football season.

IF that were the case, we learned it from the best on this board. :thumb:

By the way, I was very impressed with Harrelson (sp?).

I am as big of a UK fan as there is, but depth is only as good as the players that come off the bench. As of now Porter, Liggins, Harrellson, Galloway, Stewart, Miller, Carter (well we know he is going to stink) are all huge question marks that were glorified last night. While deeper than last season, I am not expecting a 10-11 man rotation simply because I am not sure they can all contribute at the highest level each night.

How many good teams have a 10 or 11 man rotation? I would think 8-9 is what they will have and where they should be.

Great way for him to start his career at UK. Always glad to see all of our 10th region atheletes do well at the next level.:thumb:

I love to see any player from KY do well for UK. It's been a while.

I was very impressed with Darius. I didn't expect him to be as ready and mature as he seemed to be last night. I understand that the talent level they were playing wasn't the best but it is still his first college game and he stood the test as far as I am concerned. He showed nice hustle and played composed and let the game come to him......Him and Harrelson will be my favorites this season........well after Patrick and Jodie of course.

comply w/Rule #13

The athletic level is way better. Miller is smooth and will contribute this year. He may not put up 14 a night, but he will be solid in rebounding and playing defense. Harrellson is just what we needed. A big man who can shoot the 3 and bang inside. This team will get better as the season rolls along.

Why did Stewart not get to play?

Minor undisclosed team violation. Gillispie said it wasn't a big deal and he should be back for the next exhibition game.

Thanks Mountain Thunder.
