December 15, 200817 yr I don't think there is a rule regarding this .... On another note, Richardson for Scott County out up to 6 weeks with hairline fracture in his ankle. In fact I can see him earning some PT next year as a Frosh. You start looking at what Scott County is formulating in their Grades 7-9 and hear names like Manning, Ivey, Richardson, Portwood, etc Billy Hicks has got to be excited about them re-loading over the next 3-4 yrs.

Here in Scott County we are hoping to a speedy recovery. The doctors said 4-6 weeks and it will be Week 5 when we return from Christmas break. Plus, the weather and a scheduling conflict has cut down on the amount of games SC has had to play (2 games called off so far and tonight's game was moved to Wednesday). We were real shorthanded Saturday with Richardson out and Page was sick, so we play without a true point guard against Grant County. But, Portwood did everything with 28 of the team's 56 points in a nine-point win. I love Richardson's game, but getting varsity playing time next year will be really tough as they only lose Phares and Ford and have Ivey, Walls, Bryant, etc. etc. etc on the way.

January 12, 200917 yr The sleeper in the mountains is Rosspoint, a team out of Harlan County. Their very athletic at every position. One of the best teams South Laurel, has played all year...Truthfully it's the most athletic team. Their very well coached and will be a tough out if they play in the KBA 8th grade tournament. South won by 3 points...it was South's 3rd game for the day. South played North Laurel and Whitley County...Whitley was a dog fight to the end at Whitley, in the 8th Grade 13 Regional Tournament.
January 16, 200917 yr Northern (Pulaski Co.) beat Meece in a thriller last night 45-43. Meece had the ball with 10 seconds to go and got two opprotunities to win. Meece shot a 3 pointer that missed with 4 seconds to go, got the rebound, and missed the last second shot from about 10 feet. Northern thought they were going to roll over Meece , but Meece played with some heart tonight.

January 18, 200917 yr I watched Lincoln advance to the finals, I assume that they faced Southern, but have no word on the outcome of the final.
January 19, 200917 yr Author Lincoln 8th defeated Lincoln 7th in the finals. LIncoln 7th defeated Southern in the semis.
