I think Catholic has beat Scott Co. 3 times this year. But, Lincoln Co. played at Catholic earlier this year and won by 5.

The top 4 teams in the state in my opinion are (in no particular order): Lincoln Co., Scott Co., Christian Co., and S. Laurel. If everyone list the top teams they have seen, you can get a idea of the better teams (in that area) to watch for in the state tournament.:thumb:

If everyone list the top teams they have seen, you can get a idea of the better teams (in that area) to watch for in the state tournament.:thumb: LexCath won't be allowed to play in the state tournament, but they would be definitely be one of the top teams I have seen, along with Knox County, Scott County, Elkhorn, Harrison County, Georgetown Middle and Sebastian.
January 22, 200917 yr Have I mentioned Mayfield? FYI, Mayfields 8th grade team is finished with their season and getting ready for their middle school districts, so they scrimmaged their freshmen, beat them, scrimmaged their JV, beat them. They'll be a tough out in the state tourney, no doubt.
January 23, 200917 yr Author I saw Mayfield at the Transy camp and they are very athletic, very deep, and very talented. They will be a contender. Clinton County finished 26-3 but lost their star player to the varsity Bulldogs. He was averaging about 30 PPG and the Bulldogs are only average without him. If he shows up at the KBA, Clinton County will be a tough out for anybody. He hung 40 on Warren Central's 8th (Moss). Clinton is the best in the 4th region area.

February 5, 200917 yr Looks like we are finally going to start playing basketball again! Lincoln starts this weekend at Boyle county tournament. We haven't played in several weeks so it will be nice to see the boys back on the courts.

I am wondering why Lexington Catholic didn't play in this tourney this year. They have been in it the last several years, and won it last year. Hmmmmmmmm.........:idunno:
