Good win for PC. First of all I am still not convinced Knox is a top 8 team in 4A. Way too many discipline problems and mental mistakes. It appears it cost them last night.

 

Apparently you can take the boy from Knox Co. but not the Knox Co. from the boy. That has been their problem for years (before Wayne and now during) and it seems Mills and Co. cannot get them to keep their composure.

They were pretty much out of control the whole night-after the game was probably the worst part-when they refused to shake hands with Pulaski.

That is what gets you an early exit in the playoff's.

Nice. You've just insulted an entire county. Odd that Bell has had no problem accepting those undisiplined hoodlums from across the magic county line when they needed a running back or even an assistant coach or two.

I think to put some perpsective on this. Even if you are getting bad calls ( see N. Laruel vs. PC 2007) you still have to "coach your players". I think that KC's coaching staff allowed refs affect their ability to focus on the game. It has been said in this thread earlier,penalties are a part of the game, a coach cannot control them and last night their coach hurt their team by his actions - especially at halftime. Someone said that adults affected the outcome of this game and I can see where from your view it was the refs, but from my view I saw a coaching staff lose their focus and eventually the ballgame. I think for all coaches that is a lesson that is humbly learned.

Maybe they'll think twice before dancing on PC's mid-field logo in pre-game warmups. At least wait until after the game. Not very bright. Anyway, good luck to KC the rest of the season. It looks like a good rivalry brewing between these 2 teams.

 

That needs to be banned in all games at all times, it's terrible sportsmanship. The coaches should be held responsible. And yes I've seen PC do it as well.

IMO there are some players that just don't know how to act, but there are those types all around. I don't know any of KC players but I'm sure there are some fine young men on their team. Coach Mills is light years above some of the other coaches they have had, must have had a bad night.

Sounds like a lot of sour grapes from KC to me. Anyone who has ever watched a game whether football basketball or whatever knows that there will be bad calls times and while we don't like them that is just a fact of life.

No I was not insulting the county of my birth. Just the fact that is the attitude that the KC football program has had for years. :sssh:

 

 

Bad calls happen but when you get called for multiple personal fouls and things like Coaches showing themselves you have a problem.

One would only need a heart beat to be better than some that has been there.

 

I dont think the others on here are saying he is doing a bad job in the win/loss part of the game but instead a lack of control and discipline is what they are questioning. Thus all the penalities.

Good win by Pulaski, very impressive to come back from 21 down to a ball control team. As for the penalties, those things happen and while I'm sure they played a part in the game they didn't decide it. I wasn't there so I'll need someone to verify this for me: On Pulaski's 2 point conversion there wasn't a penalty to move the ball closer or anything was there? If not Knox had their fate in their own hands with a chance to make a stop and get a win. The officiating may or may not have been horrible--I wasn't there so I can't say. What I can say for sure is that if Knox had made a stop they would have won. Congrats PC on a hard fought win.

Not really. I guess you had to be there.I guess we all are a little swayed when its our team. I have seen alot of football in my years an thursday night was the worst I have seen. When standing and talking to a few of the P.C. fans they said this wasn't right. One fan and I quote "this is a shame" he also pointed out that two of the refs where from P.C. . One of the problems wasnt always the call it was the fact that the ref right in front of the play did not make the call it came from thirty yards away. In my opinion and i stress its just MY opinion the white hat and the older gentleman made most of the questionable calls.I am sorry if you don't agree but this is the way I feel
